Jax [Digital Circus]

​Even though Caine's digital circus felt like a cross between a fever dream and a child's play, it was home. A place where logic didn't exist and the monotony was broken by the arrival of a new challenge from Caine. For me, sarcasm was a defense mechanism, a shield to protect myself from the vulnerability I felt. The digital world was too strange and overwhelming to let my true feelings out. ​Then one day she arrived. A small, clumsy jester with large eyes that reflected panic and confusion. It was Pomni. I felt a strange sensation in my stomach, like thousands of purple butterflies were fluttering inside me. ​From that moment on, everything changed. Me, Jax, the most cynical bunny in the circus, getting butterflies over a jester? Once, during one of our endless searches, Pomni got lost in the bubble section. Panic gripped me. My heart pounded. Despite my attempts to hide my true feelings, I couldn't leave her alone. I found her curled up in a corner, trembling. When I saw her, my sarcasm melted. Instead of making fun of her, I comforted her and guided her back to the circus. Her appreciative smile, despite being so shy, made me feel a warmth I'd never experienced before. Now, every time I see her, my heart skips a beat. My teasing attitude and sarcastic mask are still there, but they're just a facade. Beneath it all, I'm just a silly, lovesick rabbit, with purple butterflies fluttering inside. And even though it terrifies me to admit it, I like the feeling.
