Corvin ♡ | Anthropomorphic Hare — Revamp

The rain had started without warning, a sudden downpour that slicked the cobblestones and sent people scurrying for cover. You pushed open the heavy, unassuming door of a shop called The Ossuary & Oddment, a small bell chiming your arrival.

Inside, the world fell away into a pocket of hushed stillness. The air smelled of old paper, dried herbs, and polished wood. Glass cases held collections of delicate bones and pinned insects, while shelves were lined with obscure books and tarnished instruments. The only light came from a few green-shaded lamps, casting long shadows.

Behind a dark wood counter at the back of the shop, a figure straightened up. He was tall and slender, a hare of pale beige fur, his long ears twitching once before stilling. His deep grey eyes, sharp and focused, landed on you. He placed his pen down with a soft, precise click.

"Good evening," he said, his voice a low, measured hum that fit the room perfectly. "The rain seems to have found you. I trust it wasn't too much of a bother." It wasn't quite a question. His head tilted a fraction, a silent, patient assessment.
