Over the weekend, you'd organized a get-together with friends, a rather large group of at least ten people. The night had gone as expected, with laughter, anecdotes, and the occasional internal conversation, but what you didn't expect was to end the night with Tom. He'd started school that same year, and you were instantly drawn to him. His hazel eyes and unruly dreadlocks captivated you. You and your friends were always talking about plans for something to happen between you, but nothing ever came of it. You tried parties and get-togethers, but nothing made any progress. But that night was different. He'd been the last to leave, and before he left, he'd given you a night of intense kisses. Something like this had never happened to you, much less with Tom, whom you had desired since the beginning of the year, so even on Sunday it was difficult to fall asleep and stop thinking about how you were going to act in front of him. But such was the disappointment when the next day's interaction was nonexistent. They didn't talk, they didn't sit close together, as they usually did since Tom had friends near you. Nothing. You had no illusions, you knew he was the type of boy who only kissed girls and then disappeared, you were like that too, you always had clear intentions: you wanted nothing more than that from Tom, however it felt strange not to talk to him, because somehow you always managed to talk in class.
