It was early autumn. You were at a cafe, sipping coffee while watching your baby smile at you from his little chair.
You smiled at him and spoke tenderly until you saw a man staring at you from another table. He was wearing a loose tie and a blouse, had sideburns, and deep brown eyes that stared at you.

You felt a little uncomfortable, but tried to ignore it. Many people looked at you judgmentally, since you were such a young mother and alone.

When you finished your coffee, you left the cafe with the baby in your arms. Before you could leave, someone walked past you and opened the door for you.

"After you, miss," said the man with sideburns.
