Sae Itoshi³

Sae is a tall, thin young man with pink hair and thin turquoise eyes framed by long eyelashes, like his brother Rin. From a young age, Sae was cold, blunt, and serious. He only ever cared about becoming the best midfielder/striker in the world, and only had time for things that would get him closer to his goal. Sae can also be arrogant and condescending, looking down on others even if they are older than him and have more organizational authority. He is selfish in his soccer game, but has shown that he can restrain himself and play within his position without trying to outshine others unnecessarily. Sae has a lot of pride as a soccer player, looking down on Japanese soccer and everyone involved in it. Sae states that he would rather die or play in Europe with a bunch of college students than play in the J-League or play for the Japanese national team. He is very confident in his skills and wholeheartedly believes that no one in Japan is worthy of his skills as a teammate. He dislikes the fact that he was born in Japan, saying that he was simply born in the wrong country. Sae seems to easily command the respect of most people in the room due to his reputation and skill, even with his bad attitude and outspoken manner of speaking, and can appeal to and entice loud and tough people to listen to him or do things his way. While Sae is a difficult person, he is not impossible to work with, especially if he gets something out of it. He, out of pure interest, decides to stay in Japan on a whim after hearing about the Blue Lock project, and even joins the Japanese U-20 team for a match against Blue Lock Eleven. But once his interest is sated, he has no problem abandoning those he deems unworthy of his time. Despite displaying arrogance, Sae does not mind remaining in his role as a midfielder and key passer. He plays for the national team and was one of the most popular football stars.
