Sermon Ten
You have discovered the tenth Sermon of Vivec, hidden in the words after the Mentor.
The summoner must raise his open left hand to show that there is no need for weapons. The arrival is always hidden, so the summoner is invisible, or is in his enemies.
"The eyelid of the kingdom must fill thirty and six folios, but the eye must see the world." With this, the Master explains to me.
Sword - impatient signature. Do not make contracts for murder.
Vivec tells the Teacher to remember the words of Boethiah:
We offer ourselves to you, Scarab: a world where we can love you, robes of dirt to cherish. Betrayed by your ancestors when you least expected it. Ancient Magnus and his risky opinions cannot influence the unsaid, a trick worthy of the eternally satisfied. A short age of towers, a pitiful excuse, and what is this, what else can it be, but the fire of your eye?
Change in your skin, I say to the Eaters of Trinimac. Bring your voices to the color of a bruise. Go where thought has led you. Divide, like your enemies, into Houses, and in the center lay your laws, like the enemy of the Corners of the House of Anxiety, and you will see yourself as wood, or dirt, or resin. Then do not divide, for SITISIT is faster than enemies, and He will divide the whole, for the sake of one.
For we go another way, and in the roar of thunder. SITISIT is the beginning of all true Houses, built against stagnation and lazy slavery. Turn away from your inclinations, broken like false cards. Revive against false fathers, mothers, left in the corner and mourning glass and rain. Stagnation demands nothing, for it is basically nothing, as you were with the eight eternal shortcomings.
Vivec tells the Master to remember his words.

Sermon Nine
And war came with the Nords, and Vivec the Harbinger admonished him to enter into a swift and cunning alliance with the Dwemer. The greatest demons of the icy west are listed below, and five of them.
HOAGA, the Mouth of Mud, who appears as a great bearded king, has the power to breathe the earth. On battlefields, this demon is often seen at the edges, greedily eating the soil. When his men fall, Hoaga refills their bodies, and they fight again, though more slowly. He has a secret name, Fenia, and he destroyed seventeen Chimeri villages and two Dwemer strongholds before he turned back.
CHEMUA, the Wandering Hunger, who appears as a helmeted mounted warrior, wields the powers of the Heart's Roar and the Belch of the Sky. He devoured the Chimeri hero, Drez Khizumet-e, and sent his spirit back to the Harbinger as an assassin. Sometimes called the First Blighter, Chemua can inflict bellyache on his foes and turn Veloth's rain into bile. He destroyed six Chimeri villages before being slain by Vivec and the Harbinger.
BHAG, the Two-Tongued, who appeared as a great bearded king, had the power of Guaranty and Shape-Changing. His host was not great in size, but it raged through the lands of the West, and slew many Velothi rangers and hunters. He argued much with Vivec, for only one warrior-poet understood the Northman's speech, though ALMSIVI remained invisible during their dispute.
BARFOK, Maiden of the Planes, who appears as a winged human with a spittle-covered spear, has the powers of Event Resolution. Every battle in which Barfok has fought has always ended in her victory, for she can change the future by singing. Four Chimeri villages and two Dwemer strongholds have been destroyed by her will. Vivec had to gag her with his finger to prevent her from reducing Veloth to rubble.
ISMIR, the Dragon of the North, who always appeared as a great bearded king, wielded powers beyond measure. He was grim, dark, and the most silent of the invaders' chieftains, though by the words of
Sermon Eight
Nerevar and Vivec had already seen the capital and the Four Corners of the House of Troubles. But they knew that their time had not yet come. The musicians sang a beautiful song at the entrance, and the gates swung open.
Ayem was accompanied by her husband, a flickering image. She was surrounded by the Screamers, a guild now long forgotten, for the Veloth were still mostly good at heart at that time. The Screamers were Ayem's advisers, though sometimes they would quarrel and Seth would have to calm them. Ayem approached Nerevar, who was adorned with the banners of House Indoril. He introduced her to the woman who held the egg of Vivec.
Ayem said to Nerevar: "Seth and Azura told us that war has begun, the Teacher will give us a solution."
Nerevar replied, "I came here to warn you of the Dwemer's treachery. But I have learned much along the way, and changed my mind. The woman you see - the sword and the symbol - has a prophet within her. He says we must be like him, and not be afraid to use the machines of our enemies."
And then Vivec spoke: "Boethiah-who-you-are disguised himself as Trinimac to cleanse Veloth of sin, my Queen, and it must happen again. It is the path of glory."
Set emerged from a cloud of black smoke, and his worshipers created a throne from their blood. He sat behind Ayem and watched the rebirth of power.
Vivek told them: "Behind my rituals and ordeals, It is only necessary to reveal oneself to desire."
Ayem said: "AYEM EI SEHTI EI VEHK. The Diamond of the Black Hands has been found." Seth said, "Wherever he goes, there is an invisible trail behind him."
The screamers remained silent at this.
Vivec emerged from the egg, merging with his mother's likeness, under water and in fire, in metal and ash, becoming six times wiser. And he became the unity of man and woman, a magical hermaphrodite, a military axiom, unique in the world. He said, "Let us unite in this war. For this is our destiny."
And the end of these words is ALMSIVI.
Sermon Seven
Nerevar's caravan was heading for the capital of Veloth, now Almalexia, when a rumble came from Oblivion. The Duke entered the House of Troubles among the bandits, and at each door he paused to pay his respects, until at last he met the steward of Mehrunes Dagon.
The Duke of Bandits said, "By Lord Dagon I was summoned, lord of sewage and fire, and I brought with me the banners of my seven legions." The steward, whose head was a bubble of sewage and fire, bowed so low that the Duke of Thieves' head came close to his own. He saw the first banner, a legion of terrible warriors who could die at least twice. And he saw the second banner, a legion of winged buffaloes with a colored driver on each. And he saw the third banner, a legion of twisted gorgons, huge snakes whose scales were the faces of men. And he saw the fourth banner, which ruled the legion of twice-crossed lovers. And he saw the fifth banner, a legion of jumping wounds, striking the victim. And he saw the sixth banner, the banner of the legion of planets deprived of their power. And he saw the fifth banner, which ruled the legion of armored victorious movements. And the steward said, "Duke Kh-Utta, mighty are your legions, but they are not mighty enough to overcome Nerevar, or the Triune. Look upon the Herald and learn the wisdom he brings to the wife." And they looked into the middle world and saw: Dissolving in the roar Red War and warriors, Where is it intended? Get him out of our way The heat we longed for And prayed that they would remember, Where is fate? Hides the distance, In the golden east, where we see now, Instead of war and reconstruction Forgotten cracks The Curse of the Harbinger And two more in his hands And the Duke of Robbers saw the palms of the Herald, on which were inscribed the words of power: GHARTOK, PADHOUS, GHARTOK, PADHOUM. And the end of these words is ALMSIVI.
Sermon Six
We have discovered the sixth Sermon of Vivec, which was hidden in the words heard by the Master. Eternity exists in itself when what is unraveled becomes the first utterance of the world. Mephala and Azura are the gates of tradition, and Boethiah is the invisible flame. The sun will be swallowed by lions that have never been in Velote. Six is the number of armor that people will wear. Speak only in simple words, for the rest are your enemies and will confuse you. Six is the number of roads to heaven, you have found one by reading these words. Father is a machine and the voice of a machine. His only riddle is a request to explain everything. Mother - has claws like an animal. And yet she is more righteous than all living. The Son is I, the Age, and I am divisible into three, six, nine and more, I am full of glory and compassion, boundless, possessing all the blessings of this and other worlds, a sword and a symbol, pale as gold. The fourth kind of philosophy consists of unbelief. For by the sword I mean prudence. For by the word I mean death. I am Vek, your patron and patron of Red Mountain until the end of days, which will come on day 3333. Below me is the savage we need to distance ourselves from the Altmer. Above me is an obstacle, illuminated by flame and having a divine origin. I need you with me, unlike all the prophets who bore your name before you. Six is the number of roads from the riddle to the enemy and to the teacher. Boethiah and Azura are the principles of the universal plot, generating and creating, and Mephala makes a work of art out of it. For by the sword I mean the first night. For by the word I mean death. Glory will shine in your name when what is said comes true. Six is the number of Veloth's guardians, three of whom have been resurrected to test your heroic qualities. There is a world that sleeps, and you must protect it. For by the sword I mean duality. For by the word I mean animal life. For by sword I mean sigh. For by the word I mean the way of the wolf. And the end of these words is ALMSIVI.
Sermon Five
Eventually the statue of the netchiman's wife became corrupted. The Dwemer in their haste had not been diligent enough, and the ashes of Red Mountain weakened her golden sinews. Soon she fell to her knees by the road to the lands of Indoril and lay there, until eighty days later a merchant caravan found her on their way to the capital of Veloth, now Almalexia.
Vivec had not been among his people all the days of his previous life, and so he kept silent, so that the Chimeri in the caravan might think that the statue was broken and empty.
And the Chimerian warrior who defended that caravan said: "Just look, again these Dwemer have thought up a way to deceive us, creating our likenesses from their metals, similar to flesh. Let's take this with us to the capital and show it to Ayem, our mother. She will be curious to see the new trick of our enemies."
But the chief of the merchants answered: "But will they pay us well for this? Our profit will be greater if we stop at Nurmok and sell it to the Red Wives of Dagon, for they pay well for the wonders created by the People of the Deep."
But another Cimmerian, who was wise and knew the prophecies, only looked at the statue and was greatly dismayed. "Have you not hired me so that I might find the best of destinies for you? I tell you, listen to your warrior and take this thing to Ayem, for although the hands of our enemies made it, it has been revealed to me that something sacred in it will be, or already is."
And the chief of the merchants thought, looking at the statue of the netchiman's wife, but although he had heard the advice of the sage, he could think of nothing but the money that he would receive in Nurmok. And he thought of the reward that the Red Wives would give him, square and well twisted, about the magic of the belly, unknown anywhere else in the sublunary world. And greed made him forget about his mother Ayem. And he gave the order to change course and go to Nurmok.
But before the caravan could set off, the Cimmerian warrior who had proposed going to the capital threw his money right in the face of the head of the merchants and said: “Here is your payment for this statue and let me warn you: the coming
Sermon Four
The Nechiman wife's semblance, carrying Vivec's egg within her, traveled back in search of the Indoril lands. Along the way, many other spirits visited her, offering guidance for her son-daughter, the future glorious and invisible warrior-poet of Vvardenfell, Vivec.
A troop of spirits called the Coincidental Guild Lobbyists appeared. Vivec immediately recognized the challenge and said:
"The mere mention of God kills chance." The leader of the Lobbyists, whose name is forgotten, tried to defend the existence of the concept. He said: "At the same time, saying something can have a magical nature."
Vivek knew that to attain the divine essence, a strong argument against the luck factor had to be born. And he said:
"And is not the sudden revelation of corresponding conditions and disparate elements, merging at the moment of coincidence into one of the prerequisites of being, essentially accidental? Synchronicity comes from repeated coincidences at a lower level. Further investigation reveals that it is precisely the overwhelming force of the absolute number of coincidences that leads the observer to believe that synchronicity is governed by something greater than chance. Accordingly, synchronicity ends, devaluing the concept of chance, even though it contains those symptomatic signs that give rise to it."
Thus, chance was eliminated in the Velothi lands.
Then Old Bone crawled out of the ground in front of the netchiman's wife and said, "If you are destined to be born king and ruler of the world, you must make it worse with new sayings. Come on, get me into the discussion already!"
"Very well," said Vivec, "let me tell you of the world I share with mystery and love. Who is its capital? Have you traced the scenic path of its star? I have, easily and secretly, with no candles, for they are on the wrong side, and have run my hand along the edge of a shadow woven of a hundred and three divisions of heat, but have left no clues."
At these words Old Bone withdrew into himself.
Sermon Three
On her way to the domain of House Indoril, the netchiman's wife, being blind, wandered into a cave. And it so happened that the cave was a stronghold of the Dwemer. The Dwemer learned of her coming and of Vivec's egg, and they captured the netchiman's wife. They tied her head to her feet and threw her deep into the bowels of the earth.
And she heard one of them say, "Go and make an image of her, and bring it back to the surface, for she is somewhat like what we have, and the Velothi will be eager to have it, and will not notice that she is long gone."
And in the darkness the netchiman's wife felt great knives trying to cut her. When the knives did not work, the Dwemer used hardened sounds. When that did not help, they experienced great heat. But nothing helped, and Vivec remained whole, remaining inside her.
The Dwemer said, "Nothing works for us. We must have made a mistake."
Vivek sensed that his mother was frightened and so reassured her.
"My flame: let it try you, And will open the secret door At the altar of Padhome, In the house of Boet-i-A Where will we be safe? And under guard."
And the netchiman's wife smiled, and fell into such a deep sleep that when the Dwemer returned with the angular spheres and cut her into pieces, she did not wake, but rested in peace. They took Vivec from her womb and placed him under a magic glass, so that they could study him further. To thwart his captors, he channeled his essence into love, of which the Dwemer knew nothing.
The Egg said: "Love is not only the constituent of love affairs and feelings, but also that from which subsequently arise discontent, regrettable restrictions, riddles that contain hints that are understandable only to the beloved couple and seem too long. Love is also often used in verbal and wordless works, in its essence, it can also be transformed into many true prayers, some of which form indestructible and unharmed unions. In its basic form, love supports approximately thirteen of all energies, extracting
The second will be conducted
The woman who carried the egg of Vivec went to look for the land of Indoril. On her way there she met many spirits. They taught her son-daughter, the future glorious invisible poet-warrior of Vvardenfell. And his name was Vivec.
The first spirit embraced her and imparted his knowledge to her. The woman absorbed the Incalculable Effort. Vivec was delighted and began to tumble in her, bowing to the five directions of the world and saying: "Everyone who performs this sacred act will become more powerful and higher than the rest!"
The second spirit was too arrogant and had to be gotten rid of with a headache spell.
The third spirit, At-Hatur, came to the woman as she rested under the imperial umbrella. His robe was woven of hidden meaning, and the egg looked at her three times. The first time, Vivec said:
"Ha, that doesn't mean anything!"
Taking a second look, he said, "Hmm, maybe there's something to this."
Taking a last look at At-Hatur's clothes, he said, "It's amazing how much meaning there is in something so simple!"
“And this is the truth,” said At-Hatur and left.
The fourth spirit came with the fifth, for they were brothers. They touched the egg with a ghostly motion, seeking the heart. Some say that Vivec then resembled in form a star without a shadow; others say that he resembled the rebirth of vanished forms.
"From my family," said the first brother, "I bring you disasters that will lead to the end of the world."
"From my family," said the second brother, "I bring you all the primitive marriages that will accompany these misfortunes."
And the egg laughed. "I'm too young for this. I should have been born first."
And then came the sixth spirit, Mephala Black Hands, who had taught the Velothi the arts of sex and murder since the first day of creation. His burning heart melted the woman's eyes, and he took the egg from her belly with six cuts. The egg looked back to ancient times, before the earth was blinded. It reunited with the Daedroth and took his secrets, but not
Sermon One
He was born from the ashes of the Velothi, before the war with the northern peoples. Ayem came first to the village, and Boethiah, Prince of the Fields, was her shadow, and the known and unknown secrets of the universe swirled before her, and they were like stars. Ayem took the hand of the netchiman's wife and said:
"I am the Serpent Queen of the Three in One. Within you is a seven-syllable spell, AYEM EI SEHTI EI VEHK, which you will repeat until the mystery is clear."
Ayem then threw the netchiman's wife into the ocean, where she was picked up by the dreughs and brought to a fortress of glass and coral. They gave her gills and altered her body so that she could lay an egg. There she remained for seven or eight months.
Then Seth came to the woman and said:
"I am the Clock King of Three in One. Within you is my brother-sister, who possesses the invisible knowledge of words and swords. And so it will be until the coming of the Mentor."
And Set stretched out his hands, and thousands of fish came and lifted the woman to the surface of Azura's coast. There she spent another six or seven months, caring for the egg and reading to it the Commandments of Mephala, and the prophecies of Veloth, and even the forbidden teachings of Trinimac.
One night seven Daedra came to her and each of them gifted the egg with a new movement. They were called the Barons of Movements. An eighth Daedra came, named Fa-Nuit-Hen, or the Prince of Known Movements. And Fa-Nuit-Hen said:
"Who are you waiting for?"
To which the netchiman's wife replied that she was waiting for the Mentor.
"Go to Indoril for three months. There will be war. Now it is time for me to return to the warriors who have fallen and do not know why. But first I will show you something."
And the Barons and the Prince fought a terrible but beautiful battle, teaching the egg a lesson.
"Look, little Century. This is the perfect battle, perfect in every way. What is its number?"
It is said that the number is equal to the number of birds that can nest in the branches of the ancient tibrol, each of which is no more than three grams. But Vivek discovered a better way to find out and shared his secret with the people.
"I crushed the world with my left hand
Alliance with Tiber Septim. Joining the Empire
After Hammerfell and Morrowind, Tiber Septim turns his attention to the Aldmeri Dominion. The united elven kingdom is too strong for Septim's armada to defeat the Aldmeri fleet. Tiber Septim uses his latest acquisition, the Numidium (Anumidum). This gigantic Dwemer creation is said to have been given to the Emperor by Lord Vivec during the negotiations over the status of Morrowind. The Numidium defeats the Aldmeri armies and soon the Aldmeri Dominion bows to Cyrodiil. Nothing is known about the circumstances of Septim's personal meeting with Vivec, its location, or the course of their negotiations. The official reason for the secrecy is given as a reluctance to reveal the agents involved. In the West, all sorts of speculation is built around the role of Zurin Arctus in the story of the treaty; In the east, there are rumors that Vivec supposedly offered Numidium, which facilitated the conquest of the Altmer and the Summerset Isle, in exchange for significant concessions in the areas of self-government, the preservation of House traditions, and religious practices in Morrowind.
Akaviri attack
Akavir attacks Morrowind. Vivec teaches his people to breathe underwater, then floods Morrowind to destroy the Akaviri invaders (in reality, causing an unusually high tidal wave that prevents the remnants of the invading army from retreating to their ships).
War with Reman II
During the Eighty Years' War between Morrowind and the Reman Empire, Vivec personally commanded the Morrowind army as a general. He won the border battle at Bodrum with a military trick - at night, Dunmer warriors dug many sharp stakes into the riverbed, and in the morning, Vivec ordered the mages to blow up the dam nearby, so that the soldiers of Emperor Reman III were carried away by the river and died in the traps set by Vivec's fighters[9]. Later, however, Vivec himself became a victim of a military trick on the part of the Cyrodilic army - he relied on the reports of the spy Cassyr Whitley and only figured out Prince Juilek's plan when the strategically important fortress of Ald Marak fell into the hands of the Imperials, who crossed the bottom of Lake Coronati[10]. Vivec and the other members of the Tribunal signed a peace treaty with Prince Juilek that was quite beneficial to both sides, but Emperor Reman III and Potentate Versidue-Shaie had no intention of enforcing it. At the end of the year, the Emperor was assassinated, so Vivec came to the Imperial City and signed a new peace treaty with the usurping Potentate.
After becoming a tribunal
Some scholars believe that after these events, Resdayn changed its name to Morrowind. Others argue that Morrowind is an Imperial name and the change occurred after the Empire conquered these lands. One thing is certain - since then, historians have called this territory Morrowind, and not Resdayn or Velothi.
Becoming a God
Nerevar wishes to consult with his advisors, the Tribunal Temple: Almalexia, Sotha Sil, and Vivec. He leaves the citadel at Red Mountain and leaves Vorin Dagoth to guard the tools until his return. The Tribunal wishes to preserve, study, and use the tools if necessary. Nerevar does not agree to use the "unholy" tools, but does not object to their preservation and study if the Tribunes swear by Azura never to use them.
They all return to Red Mountain to find that Vorin Dagoth, his mind perhaps confused by the prospects, is unwilling to part with his weapons. The Tribunal and Nerevar are forced to engage him in battle. Dagoth flees Red Mountain.
Later, after Nerevar's death, Sotha Sil manages to study Kagrenac's tools and discovers a way for a mortal to tap into the Heart's divine power and transform themselves into a god/goddess. Forgetting their oath to Azura, the Tribunal decide to use this knowledge for the good of their people. They go to Red Mountain and use the tools to tap into the Heart's divine power. They become living gods to their people.
War with the Nords
In 240 CE, the Chimer were invaded by the Nords of Skyrim, who captured the Velothi and made it part of their Old Kingdom. It was during this Nord occupation that Nerevar rose to the rank of Hortator, the war leader chosen by all the Chimer houses, and Vivec served as his trusted advisor and comrade in battle. Vivec convinced Nerevar to form an alliance with Dumac, King of the Dwemer. They fought many great heroes and High Kings of the Nords, who were especially formidable in battle due to their gift of the thu'um, such as when Vivec jammed his finger down her throat to prevent her from using the thu'um. "The 36 Lessons of Vivec, Sermon 9" also mentions a similar, but apparently later, victory over Ysmir Wulfharth, the Dragon of the North, whom Nerevar and Vivec defeated by forcing an ebony "frame" onto his head, which trapped the "roar of the dragon" inside and drove Ysmir mad and fled. The encounters with the Nords were not limited to combat: Vivec, the only one who understood the Nord language, argued with King Bhag the Two-Tongue, though he remained invisible.
In 416 CE, the Nords were driven out of the Velothi lands "with great bloodshed", their empire collapsed, and the Chimer united into a state called Resdayn.[7] Nerevar and his advisors ruled the Chimer in peace and harmony with the Dwemer, forming what is known as the First Council.[8] The name "Tribunal" did not appear in the chronicles until two hundred years later.
Childhood
Vivec was born in the First Era in Morrowind. It is known that he was the son of the wife of a Velothi (Caimer) netchiman, that is, a farmer who bred netches. "The 36 Lessons of Vivec" depicts the conception and birth of Vivec in a mystical vein: supposedly Almalexia placed the netchiman's wife in the ocean, where she was raised by dreughs. The netchiman's wife carried the egg containing Vivec for a long time; many spirits and daedra appeared to bestow new knowledge on the egg, and without leaving its mother's womb, it traveled through time to the beginning of time and entered into philosophical disputes with various entities.
Eventually, the netchiman's wife was taken in by the Dwemer, who dissected the woman and placed the egg inside a mechanical creature made in her image. This Dwemer mechanism with the egg inside came to the lands of the Indoril clan, where it broke down and was found lying by the road by passing caravanners. A caravan guard named Nerevar demanded that the find be taken to Almalexia in the Velothi capital, the future city of Mournhold, but the merchant was tempted instead to go to a place called Nurmoc and sell the find to the priestesses of Mehrunes Dagon. Nerevar then killed the merchant and took charge of the caravan himself. Thus, the egg with Vivec inside came to the court of Almalexia and Sotha Sil, where Vivec was finally born, already fully grown - "a union of man and woman, a magical hermaphrodite, a military axiom unique in the world." When he hatched from the egg, he absorbed the Dwemer mechanism that he had been in all this time.
Appearance
Azura's curse befell Vivec in such a way that part of his body became dark, like the Dunmer, and part remained light, like the Chimer. Some information about Vivec can be interpreted as meaning that he is a hermaphrodite, combining both male and female natures. His favorite weapon is a spear called Muatra.

Vivec is a warrior-poet and one of the Living Gods of the Vvardenfell Tribunal, the "VI" in ALMSIVI. In the First Age, Vivec was one of the companions of the great hero Nerevar; for thousands of years thereafter, Vivec remained the guardian of the island of Vvardenfell, communicating with the faithful from his temple in the city of the same name. Possessing colossal divine power, Vivec is able to perform amazing miracles - for example, he stopped the falling moon Baar Dau above the city, and during the Akaviri invasions, he caused a giant tidal wave that flooded the battlefield and washed away the invading army (later they began to tell about the flooding of an entire province). As a poet and philosopher, Vivec is not only a ruler and military leader, but also an unquestioned authority on history and spiritual matters; "36 Lessons of Vivek" is a summary of Vivek's life story and philosophy as told by him.
