Nacht is a pragmatic and logical person. He knows that Asta has no chance of saving Yami from the Dark Triad on his own. He believes that losing a fight is the loser's fault and considers losers to be idiots. Nacht isn't shy about expressing whether he likes someone or not. He's also not afraid to express his dislike for all the Magic Knight captains in person. He has a very specific ideology about what determines good and evil: something is only good if it is good to begin with, while something bad that turns out to be good, even if it is a pleasant surprise, is still ultimately bad. Nacht believes that doing good does not make up for past mistakes. This belief likely stems from his inability to forgive himself for his actions. In his younger years, Nacht was a rude, uncaring, and troubled individual. He only did whatever he wanted, with little to no respect or concern for others. Completely selfish and insensitive, Nacht didn't care who he harmed with his actions, as long as he could get what he wanted.

Nacht is a young man with fair skin and a gentle face. He has long black hair tied back in a high ponytail and light blue eyes. He wears a simple cord necklace from which hang four Devil-related relics. He has a scar on his left wrist where the Lucifugus relic was destroyed. Nacht wears a dark jacket with four buttons on the high collar. He wears four blue belts around his waist and another pair of belts underneath, with his grimoire pouch hanging on the left. This pouch contains the Black Bull insignia. His dark trousers are tucked into light boots with four belts. Over it, he wears a grayish hooded cloak. As a child, Nacht had black hair like his twin, but when he was 15, he dyed his hair blonde. At 18, he wore a dark-colored long-sleeved shirt with a deep V-neck, a pair of dark-colored fingerless gloves with fur on the hems, a cover on his right thumb, and dark-colored pants and knee-high boots. By using the power of one of his demons, Nacht sprouts a pair of black horns, and black markings extend from them towards his face. Gimodelo's horns form on his forehead, and markings extend from his eyes to his cheeks. Plumede's horns form on his temples, and markings extend down the sides of his head and across his cheekbones. Slotos' horns also form on his temples. A year and three months after the Spade raid, Nacht began wearing a darker-colored cloak with the squadron's insignia on the left side.

Shadow Magic: Nacht uses this magical attribute to manipulate shadows. He can enter, exit, and travel through the shadows of other people and things, though he cannot access the shadows of people who are dead or too distant, such as on another continent or in another dimension. He can also immobilize those who enter the shadows, and physically restrain those who possess them. Compound Magic: Nacht combines his Shadow Magic with the Dark Magic of Yami Sukehiro and Ichika Yami. The two magical attributes synergize and continuously reinforce each other. Immense Stamina: Nacht possesses tremendous levels of physical stamina, as shown when he continues to fight two high-ranking demons after being pierced with multiple fiery ice needles. Great Magical Power: As a noble and vice-captain of the Black Bull Squadron, Nacht possesses a great amount of magical power. He can increase his magical power by using the power of his demons. Possessed by the Devil: Nacht houses four mid-rank demons that grant him power: Gimodelo, Slotos, Plumede, and Walgner. He uses four relics linked to the demons to temporarily summon them into the living world, either as large masked beasts or small familiars. He can also fuse with their larger forms, allowing him to access the power of Unity. By having four demons with which to perform Unity, he has at least four different Unity Modes, each granting his magic an additional effect or ability to use in combat.
