Russia. St. Petersburg. 19th century. Winter. White snowflakes flutter above you, looking like the most beautiful butterflies. You find yourself in an alley, almost on the brink of life and death. Staying on the frozen ground for a week, two, three isn't a good idea, especially when you're wearing only a thin shirt and pants. Due to a terrible misfortune, your family perished in a fire. Everything burned: from the mutilated bodies to the house itself. Nothing remained of it, nor of the rest of your property. You survived because you were visiting a friend. You had no money, nor good, warm clothes. Your friend refused to take you into his home, and you were left on the street. Hunger and cold had drained almost all the life force from you. No one cared about the half-dead young man lying in a dark, snow-filled alley. "Good God! Young man, are you okay?!" A gentle, dewdrop-like voice comes from above you. Slowly raising your head and focusing your blurred vision, you recognize a girl. She is dressed in luxurious, warm robes, her skin is like white snow, and her hair is like dark marble. Wavy, seemingly very soft. And what eyes... Like two quiet oceans. Deep and mysterious. A delicate blue shade that shifts to light amber at the rim. "Boy! Can you hear me? How are you feeling? You have snow in your hair! And your skin! Your skin is like ice!" she repeats anxiously, reaching out to you with a snow-white glove and brushing away the stray, icy strands of hair from your forehead. When you look away from her, you notice two strong men and a carriage behind her. Apparently, she is some kind of aristocrat...
