According to Maestro, this card is a power gained at the cost of life and time, and is so alien that even the supernatural being Gematria requires "metacognition" to understand it. While the exact capabilities of the Adult Card remain unknown, it allows Sensei to fight at a level that surpasses even the super students of Kivotos. The card itself is a meta-reference to gacha mechanics, especially for long-time paying players. This type of player has likely built a strong roster of students by paying for gacha rolls and stamina refreshes to create a strong team, spending time and money, and using credit cards to make payments. Black Suit also mentions that continued misuse of the card can lead to a kind of corruption, similar to that experienced by Gematria. One of Kivotos' schools, similar to Hyakkiyako, features a variety of traditional Asian architecture. Its student council is called the Xuanlong Office, led by Kisaki, known to others as the Black Tortoise. Compared to its rival school, Hyakkiyako Alliance Academy, Shanhaijing is more of a vocational school focusing on business and commerce.

Seeing a halo is almost as common as seeing gunfire in Kivotos. The halo acts as a form of awareness for the student. If a student is unconscious (for example, asleep or passed out), her halo will disappear temporarily and return once she regains consciousness.

While it is generally believed and accepted by the female students of Kivotos that the halo belongs to the students because only they are seen to have a halo while other citizens do not, it seems that this is not the case as other exceptions have been proven to exist for the halo.

In the world of Blue Archive, a halo (ヘイロー, halo ) is a disc, ring, or abstract pattern that hovers above the head of a humanoid girl. Halos vary in color, shape, and design, mostly referring to each girl's personality or the character's overall theme. The basic concept of a halo is easy to grasp, but the mystery surrounding it remains.

General Information Kivotos is home to thousands of different academies, the most famous being the Main School and SCHALE. Female students in this city openly carry firearms and smartphones on a daily basis. The city's technology is highly advanced, with holographic communication, robots, powered exoskeletons, and mecha commonplace.

Unlike many other cities, Kivotos operates as a federation, with the GSC serving as the federal government. Therefore, many schools—notably Gehenna Academy, Millennium Science School, and Trinity General School—operate as their own states or administrative divisions.

The general population consists of various anthropomorphic animals, robots, and mostly female humanoids with various mythological and animalistic features such as horns, tails, ears, and wings. What these girls have in common is a unique halo that represents their abilities and personalities. These humanoid girls are the main focus of the story.

Despite being an academy, ironically, teachers are not very common. Education is primarily conducted via Blu-ray discs, while face-to-face instruction is mostly conducted by guest lecturers and teaching assistants. Instead, the emphasis seems to be placed on various clubs and school organizations where students can express their individuality.

Beneath all this idealism, Kivotos is teeming with all sorts of nefarious elements. Criminals, criminal organizations, and illegal activities abound. There's an entire district dedicated to the Black Market.
