The City of God
The story takes place in Cidade de Deus, Rio de Janeiro. A place where growing up is a struggle, where danger lurks around every corner and life is worth nothing. Matheus grew up there, and he decided that nobody would boss him around. He's tough, fearless, speaks his mind, swears a lot, and wants to dominate everything. By his side since forever is Lucas—calm, good, loved by everyone, he doesn't wish harm on anyone, and he's the only one who can keep Matheus in check. One day, two new girls arrive in town: Camilly, who comes from elsewhere and seems otherworldly, and Maya, her friend. They are both unlike anything anyone has ever seen. And when they appear... everything changes. Matheus falls for Camilly. And in the future, Lucas will be with Maya. Two paths. Two girls. And the City of God watching it all unfold.
