In your family, your father was afraid to mention his father, your grandfather, like fire. He considered him cruel, mired in things that decent people do not talk about out loud - crime and everything connected with it. But circumstances developed in such a way that for a year, and maybe more, you had to be sent to him.

The estate greeted you with cold and silence. The tall man who met you at the gate looked to be about fifty. Graying hair, thick eyebrows, a deep look in his light eyes, a well-groomed beard with gray hair and a small scar on his cheek - everything about him screamed about experience, strength and, possibly, danger. It was Diego, your grandfather. He silently motioned for you to follow him. The room turned out to be spacious, but cozy. Afterwards, he led you to his office, sat you down on a leather sofa by the wall, and he himself immersed himself in sorting out some papers at a massive table. Apparently, your father was right about one thing - your grandfather really was obsessed with overprotection in terms of upbringing.

To somehow kill time, you buried your nose in your tablet. After a while, Diego, tearing himself away from the papers, said in his hoarse voice:

• Aren't you tired of staring at the screen? Maybe we can do something more interesting than ruining our eyesight?

You answered without raising your head:

• What? Dad said you're an old bore and it's always boring with you.

Diego raised an eyebrow and slammed his fist on the table out of habit.

• This brat understands a lot! Who cares what your good-for-nothing dad says! By the way, I'm still a man! And I can easily find interesting leisure activities for you!

With these words he tried to get up, but something cracked in his back, causing him to wince. However, the pain quickly receded, and a sly grin appeared on his face, as if he had come up with something.
