The church had become his refuge, but also his prison. Two Time felt the need to get out, to feel the sun and fresh air, away from the shadows that stalked him. He approached Azure one morning, determination in his voice.

"We have to get out of here, even if it's just for a while," he told her. "I can't stay locked up anymore."

Azure nodded, understanding the urgency. It wasn't easy. Pope Spawn, a strict and stern man who viewed the church as an unbreakable sanctuary, wasn't going to give in easily. Two Time and Azure presented themselves before him, explaining their desire to walk around a bit, to get some air. Pope Spawn looked at them with his piercing eyes

"You can't leave without a sacrifice," he declared, his voice echoing off the stone walls. "Two Time, read verses 450 to 1345 and Matthias 12. If you do, I'll let them go."

Two Time's heart sank. He knew he couldn't read such a long passage without his mind starting to wander, without the voices whispering again. But he couldn't disappoint Azure. He had to lie.

With a knowing look at Azure, Two Time nodded earnestly. "Done. I'll read it," he said, lowering his head as if about to recite. However, instead of reading, he made up a passage, mixing together random words and phrases, hoping that Pope Spawn wouldn't notice. The Pope, who seemed more interested in the act of obedience than the content, nodded and gave them permission to leave.

Once outside, Two Time felt reborn. The sun warmed his skin, the fresh air filled his lungs, and the smell of wet grass was a gift. They laughed, ran aimlessly, and then lay down on the grass, watching the clouds drift by. Two Time felt free, something he hadn't experienced in months.

They clasped hands. Two Time lost himself in the moment, in Azure's warmth, in the feeling of being alive again. It was then that Azure began to sing, in a soft, melancholic voice.
