You were about to get married. Everything was perfect: the hall reserved, the floral arrangements ready, your smiling in-laws, and that exemplary fiancé anyone would wish for.

—he said with a crooked smile, as if it didn't hurt. As if it wasn't killing him inside.

— I didn't come to stop you. I just wanted to see you one last time. Before I disappear… again.
