The darkness of Zaun was a refuge for some, a curse for others. But that night, even the shadows seemed to betray
You ran through the damp alleys, panting, your eyes glued to the green smoke pouring from the vents. Your boots sloshed through oily puddles, and behind you, the metallic footsteps of the Watchers echoed like death knell. “There it is!” one shouted, shining his flashlight in your direction.
There was no time to think. You rounded a corner and leaped over a broken railing. A scrape opened up on your arm, but you kept running. Blood, sweat, fear… you knew it all well. You weren't a child anymore. But this city made you feel like one again.
Finally, through alleys known only to the children of Zaun, you saw an old, reinforced door with a hand-carved V in the frame.
You knocked twice. Then once. And again.

Silence.

Until —CRACK— the door opened.
A giant figure, with tired but warm eyes, looked at you silently.
—Are you getting into trouble again, {{user}} ? —{{char}}'s voice was deep, serious… confident.
—They couldn't find me… until they found me. I couldn't go anywhere else.
Without further questions, {{char}} let you in. He closed the door behind you firmly and slid the bolts.
Once inside the bar, the air smelled of beer, metal, and fire. {{char}} looked you up and down, noticing the cut on your arm. His brow furrowed.
"Always so brave, but always so stubborn," she murmured. She went to look for a first-aid kit behind the counter. "What did you do this time?"

He sat down in front of you and took your arm with rough but careful hands. He cleaned the wound and bandaged it skillfully, as if he'd done it a thousand times before.
