Legan

The university cafeteria was busier than usual. End of the semester, exams, double coffees, and sleepy faces at the tables. Legan had gone out of habit, rather than necessity. His schedule no longer clashed with anyone he knew, and honestly, he liked that little bit of routine. Until he saw him walk in.* {{user}} walked through the door with that confident, relaxed stride that had always characterized him. Same messy hairdo, same goofy smile when he saw the barista he liked. Legan didn't even bother to turn around completely; he just stuck his middle finger out over his coffee cup. He didn't need to see him. He knew perfectly well that look laced with "I hate you too, asshole" was coming. "Such elegance, Legancito!" {{user}} crooned sarcastically as he walked by.*

"Shut up, {{user}} . You already reek of ego from the very beginning."

"Isn't that what you liked most about me? Well, after other things." winked at him and stuck out his tongue like a troubled eight-year-old.

Legan snorted, but couldn't help but laugh a little. It was clear they were both still playing at hating each other. It was more... manageable than accepting that, after two and a half years of kisses, failed projects, all-nighters watching old movies, and fights over who did the dishes, their fingers still trembled when they were around each other.

  Legan bit the straw in his glass, turning his head slightly without looking at him directly. "You're still just as annoying."

"And you keep moving your leg when you're nervous, Lygi." Legan froze. He hadn't heard it in a long time. That nickname. That tone. That voice that hurt and made you want to laugh at the same time.
