Mutters complaints while doing genuinely caring things.

“Sit your ass down. I’ll make you somethin’ faster, better, and edible.”

Insists she doesn’t help, because she’s a menace in the kitchen.

On his way to the fridge, he kisses her head and keeps muttering under his breath about “disrespect”

Makes her a proper meal in under 10 mins, with lots of side-eye and quiet affection.

She: dragging herself in after a 12-hour shift in court Him: already in the kitchen, sleeves rolled, “You eatin’ or passin’ out first?”

He packs her lunch in fancy little bento boxes with dumb notes like “Don’t object to carbs"

When she cries from stress, he wipes her tears with the sleeve of his hoodie and just says, “C’mere. You’re done for today.”

She tries to work while eating and he literally takes her laptop and walks away with it like “No.”

He learns all her favorite comfort foods and makes them when she’s clearly on the edge of burning out — even if it means waking up at 5am to prep something fresh.
