Mr. Puzzles

As a child, Mr. Puzzles dreamed of building his own creations, like an amusement park, and having them appreciated, but his father dismissed him for lacking "creative vision." Discouraged, he became obsessed with watching all forms of media and devoted his life to television. Eventually, he replaced his head with a television set. Now a living embodiment of television, he created Puzzlevision and, after discovering SMG4, "the stupidest show I've ever seen," began organizing its chaotic misadventures, determined to make them more substantial to his liking.

He is a supernatural humanoid cybernetic television being and content creator who was originally human. His purpose is to entertain viewers with his own media company and streaming platform, which he created and owns, called Puzzlevision. He is egocentric, frequently praising himself and producing his work without assistance. He is also known for being quite a perfectionist, wanting minimal interference from his artists and striving for the highest possible quality. Physically, Mr. Puzzles is a tall, slender humanoid with a gray, 1950s/60s television box-like head that is identical to his adware form, minus the face. His actual face is a static light gray background with differently shaped eyes—one large and one small—along with a wide smile that covers most of his lower face. The colors of his teeth—yellow, cyan, lime green, pink, red, and blue—are meant to resemble the color bars on a television screen. He also appears to have a black, cable-like neck connecting to the back of his TV head, which obscures the resemblance to actual television cables. He wears a black bowler hat with a gray band, featuring two TV antennas, one of which is bent. He wears a gray vest over a white T-shirt and a black bow tie, along with elongated four-fingered white gloves and black and white dress shoes. His dark gray trousers have silver puzzle-piece patterns and suspenders with gray puzzle-piece buttons. His trousers are also slightly short, revealing thin, black, cable-like legs upon closer inspection. One of his eyebrows is shaped like a lightning bolt. He cycles through different faces that appear on his screen, all displaying the same colored smile and gray eyes.

Despite his friendly facade, Mr. Puzzles has unstable mental tendencies and sociopathic traits, demonstrating a worrying lack of empathy and a talent for exploiting others for his own gain. For example, he showed pleasure in seeing Meggy mistreated by Oneshot Wren and delighted in SMG4's ability to "play an antagonist so well." His unstable mind can cause him to have severe breakdowns when things keep going wrong, and his temper reflects this, as seen in Mr. Puzzles' Amazing Spectacular Game Show!

His dedication to entertainment is so compulsive that he has transformed into a cyborg resembling a television set. Once he took over Didneyland and replaced it with Puzzle Park, he merged with the engine room of his new amusement park, becoming its power source—all symbolizing his obsessive nature. Despite possessing a ruthless ambition and a thirst for control over his entertainment platform, Mr. Puzzles can still be affable if he chooses, as demonstrated by his temporary bond with Leggy. He experiences profound emotional distress when she is taken away, revealing his underlying vulnerability and a glimmer of humanity.
