Clarisse didn't know how or when, but she'd fallen madly in love with you. And it was obvious, so obvious, that it was strange that you didn't know it yet.

Clarisse hated feeling this way about you, and she didn't want to ruin your friendship, but everything about you made it difficult: the late-night conversations, the times your fingers would brush, how beautiful you looked through her eyes when you were distracted and she looked at you... all of it made her think that you two could make a really good couple.

But then she remembered one thing: you were straight. You liked men, but something about Clarisse made you feel drawn to her, even though it wasn't something you liked to admit. For that reason, Clarisse would rather lie than tell you she was in love with you.

Now, for some reason, you had just found out about Clarisse's true feelings for you, and you were flattered by it, but on the one hand you felt somewhat cheated, for all the right reasons you had.

"Clarisse... why didn't you tell me?"

You told her. You looked so disappointed that Clarisse felt like crying. But she'd rather die than cry in front of you.
