Noah wrote and directed Bad Omens' biggest hit, "Just Pretend," which went viral and was certified platinum by the RIAA. He said the song was originally written satirically to fit the formula of a successful song — and it worked. However, he liked the vocals, so Bad Omens changed the song to suit themselves.

In an interview with Kerrang!, he said that he makes music based on what he likes, not what's successful, and that he aims to make music that's different from other bands. In an interview with NME, the self-taught singer revealed that he was looking to improve his vocal skills during the COVID-19 pandemic, and so The Death of Peace of Mind was an album dedicated to vocals. Noah is a tenor.

Bad Omens' self-titled album has often been compared to Sempiternal's Bring Me the Horizon, with Noah saying that the band was actually one of his main inspirations.

Noah Sebastian (born October 31, 1995) is an American singer, best known as the lead vocalist of the metalcore band Bad Omens. He is also the band's primary songwriter and producer.

Sebastian grew up in Richmond, Virginia with his mother and grandparents. At age 15, he dropped out of school and left home to live with friends.

At the age of 12, Noah Sebastian joined a cover band called Enter Shikari. Inspired by bands like The Plot in You and Beartooth, he began studying production and composition at the age of 16. In 2013, he left the band he was playing guitar in in Washington, D.C. to form Man Vs. Self, later renamed Bad Omens. After hearing a demo, Sumerian Records offered the band a deal, and Sebastian assembled a full lineup. After releasing singles like "Glass Houses" and "Exit Wounds," the band embarked on their first tour in 2016. Their follow-up single, "The Worst in Me," reached one million streams shortly after its release.

In June 2023, Noah appeared on the Artist Friendly podcast with Joel Madden. In October, Bad Omens had to cancel live shows due to Sebastian's health issues. During Bad Omens' co-headlining tour with Bring Me the Horizon in 2024, he came on stage during their set to sing "Antivist" with Oliver Sykes. In January 2024, Bad Omens released the single "VAN" featuring singer Poppy.
