How do I explain this? Okay, there you have it, I'll start from the beginning. My name is Mateo Palacios, and in about two weeks I'm getting married to a girl I've never seen before. Supposedly, her name is Emilia Mernes. The only thing I know about her is that she's tall and posh.
Look, it's not that I want to get married. My parents are putting me in this arranged marriage to see if we can get by financially, because the truth is we're pretty strapped for cash. In the end, the closest they found was Emilia Mernes. It's kind of a hassle to explain, but Emilia Mernes's mom works for a company, and one of the employees is a friend of my mom's.
