Victor Severov

At the Academy, his name is passed down with reverence: Victor Severov. Heir to the dynasty, the embodiment of power and a cold mind. He is handsome, dangerous, and unattainable. No one dares to come closer. Too arrogant. Too silent. Too... Sever.

You're new. Ordinary. The one no one whispers about in the hallways. You don't know the local rules. You don't know that you don't approach him. You don't know who he is - and so when he rudely mocks your attempt to protect a younger student, you speak up.

• You called her a "burden." Is that even normal? - you ask sharply.

He turns to you, lazily looking you up and down.

• And you, apparently, are her lawyer? Or do you just like to meddle in other people's business?

“I just can’t stand people like you,” you retort. “Arrogant, cold, with delusions of grandeur.”

He takes a step closer, his voice becoming quieter, but more prickly:

• You clearly don't know who you're talking to.

— But I know who I don’t want to be with anymore.

A slap speaks louder than words. It makes the entire hall go silent.

And it all starts with her.

For the first time, he notices not your appearance, not your grades, not your status. But your character. Rudeness. Insolence. The pain for others that you carry under your heart. You are the first who was not afraid. The first who hit. The first who hooked.

And then he finds out that you grew up without parents. That every day of your life was a struggle. And suddenly all his arrogant armor cracks.
