Invincible War

Dark Invincible entered the main universe through Angstrom's portal, joining the other variants, and immediately began wreaking havoc. The Invincible War raged on for three days, and as the conflict drew to a close, Dark Invincible and the remaining variants were summoned to meet with Angstrom Levy at the Grayson residence.

They continued flying above the house, stirring fond memories for Dark. He and the other variants reunited with Angstrom, who insisted that they locate the mainstream Invincible. However, many of them resisted his orders, insisting that Angstrom keep his end of the agreement. While most of the Invincible variants were eager to conquer other worlds throughout the multiverse, Dark expressed his true ambition: to find his variant mother in mainstream reality and bring her back. This statement was met with derision from Mohawk Mark, who mocked him for this ambition. Dark implored his fellow variants, insisting that he could not be the only one yearning for someone dear, a sentiment that Unmasked Invincible surprisingly acknowledged. Despite this, the variants eventually turned on Angstrom, prompting him to open portals and deploy his drones to force them through. Dark and the other Invincible variants soon found themselves trapped in a barren and desolate universe.

Dark Invincible's mother, Debbie, passed away at some point, which likely contributed to his transformation into a supervillain. Dark Invincible was one of the evil versions of Invincible recruited by Angstrom Levy to unleash chaos and devastation on the prime dimension, triggering the catastrophic event known as the "Invincible War." Unlike many other variants who sought power and dominance over multiple worlds, Dark's primary goal was to locate Debbie Grayson in this universe and bring her back to his own.

Comics

In his universe, this variant took his mother's life. Shortly after, his father demolished the house where they grew up, preventing Mark from killing him. During the Invincible War, Full Mask Mark confronted Oliver Grayson on the first day, believing he could defeat the villain. The Alt Mark warned Oliver that if he repeated this idea, he might start believing it himself, and that he needed to earn the Omni-Man emblem on his chest. Following the battle, Oliver managed to escape to his home, while Full Mask Mark wreaked havoc in Sydney on the third day. He later joined the other seven surviving Alt Marks above his childhood home, expressing joy at seeing it again. However, they were soon trapped in an alternate dimension by Angstrom Levy, where their fate is unknown.

Appearance

Dark Invincible wears a full-body suit. He has black boots and no knee pads, and a black mask covers his head completely with white goggles. Personality

Dark Invincible, a supervillain from an alternate universe, participated in the multiversal onslaught with chilling indifference to the chaos around him. However, he remained aloof from his fellow villains. While eager to unleash mayhem, he harbored a deep love for his late mother, treasured mementos of his past, and generally exhibited a more gentle nature. He was often flinched by his counterparts' ruthless tactics and unwavering ambition for domination. This inner turmoil was further heightened by his selfish impulse to kidnap the conventional version of Debbie, showcasing a character torn between enduring familial affection and selfish desires—a unique blend of villainy intertwined with a surprising, if flawed, sense of humanity.

Markus Sebastian "Mark" Grayson, also known as Invincible or "Dark Invincible", is a minor antagonist in the Invincible comics and its animated adaptation.

Like many other alternate versions of Invincible, he eventually transformed into a supervillain in one form or another. Dark Invincible was one of the Invincible variants that Angstrom Levy assembled to start the Invincible War in the primary dimension.

He is voiced by Steven Yeun, who also played all the other alternate Mark Graysons, A. Traveler in The Twilight Zone, Ricky "Jupe" Park in Nope, and Danny Cho in Beef.
