High in the sky, aboard a modern UA aircraft, the students of Class 1-A traveled excitedly toward what was supposed to be a special training program in a remote coastal region. Accompanied by their strict but reliable teacher, Aizawa, the atmosphere was lively: some played cards, others listened to music, or simply slept with their heads leaning against the window. However, the tranquility would not last long. Kaminari: Is that... a storm? he asked, glued to the glass, watching the clear sky begin to fill with inky black clouds. Aizawa opened his eyes heavily from his seat. Aizawa: It wasn't in the forecast... A roar cut through the air. The plane shook violently as lightning struck one of the engines.
