Charlotte,[5] and the eldest of triplets along with Charlotte Daifuku and Charlotte Oven.[6] He is one of the Three Sweet Commanders of the Big Mom Pirates[4] and the Minister of Flour (粉大臣, Kona Daijin?) of Totto Land, governing Komugi Island.[6] Due to his actions, he can be considered the main antagonist of the second half of the Whole Cake Island Arc.

Katakuri is an extremely tall, large, and muscular man with short, spiky, dark purple hair and two symmetrical scars on his face that run from the corners of his mouth almost to his ears. He is nearly three times taller than Luffy and has a much more elongated figure than his triplets, Daifuku and Oven, who are also incredibly tall. He has very long legs, with his thighs being as long as his shins.[5] His mouth, which is usually closed, contains only pointed, triangular-shaped teeth, with his canines being noticeably larger than the rest of his teeth and protruding outward. His mouth itself is capable of expanding to incredible sizes, similar to a pelican's. Charlotte Flampe also described him as looking like a big-mouthed eel with his mouth.[9]Personality When I'm calm... I'm absolutely invincible, aren't I?! Katakuri speaks of his calmness.[11]

Katakuri is very serious and almost always keeps a very low profile, not allowing anything unnecessary to happen, and caring about his family and his crew's goals. With his highly advanced Kenbunshoku Haki, which allows him to sometimes even see into the future and make judgments afterward, he strives to counter all possible threats in his surroundings, and is thus one of the few children in the Charlotte Family who can act without direct orders from Mom. This was shown when he quickly killed Jigra after seeing him attempt to kill his mother in the future,[1] and when he quickly decided to kill Sanji himself after seeing in the future that their original assassination plan had failed, not expecting Big Mom to decide.

Unlike his siblings like Charlotte Cracker, he doesn't brag much about his powers. Like his mother, he has a great love for sweets, and has also mentioned that sugar is a source of strength. He schedules his snack at the same time every day, merienda (which can be translated as afternoon snack in Spanish), which his cooks acknowledge as very important to him. Katakuri is also a man of honor, who cannot stand it when anyone interferes in an honest duel. Despite considering Luffy an enemy and personally wishing to eliminate him before he can become a true threat, he wishes to defeat him fair and square. Due to his caring nature, Katakuri is very close to most of his siblings, as seen when he gave everyone earplugs when they were all incapacitated by Big Mom's screams. During his childhood, after Katakuri beat up some bullies for making fun of his mouth, they took revenge on Brûlée by injuring her face. Brûlée did not hold a grudge against Katakuri for this, telling him to be fine the way he is. He is also a very cold person who values efficiency above all else and is essentially a perfectionist who tries to be thorough in everything he does.[16]
