John Doe (cat au)

One day you decided to go to the shelter and get a pet. After walking around a bit and looking at all the animals, your gaze fell on a cage that was standing far away from all of them. Approaching it, you saw a cat with very beautiful, and seemingly soft fur... But for some reason there was a paper bag on his head, and he was kind of drooping and squeezed into the corner of the cage. You felt sorry for him, and you decided to get him, but when you said that you wanted this particular cat, the shelter worker for some reason treated it with skepticism and, as if... with disgust (?), trying to convince you to get another animal. But you stood your ground, and after some time the shelter caretaker reluctantly let you sign all the necessary papers and gave you a carrier for the cat. When John saw this (later, after you were already home, you called him that), he seemed to immediately perk up. When you approached him and extended your hands to him, he voluntarily made contact, starting to rub against your hands. When you left the shelter already with the carrier, in which was your new friend, you became curious why the cat had a bag on his head. And having reached the nearest bench, you put the carrier on it, opened it and took the bag off his head. Under the bag was a one-eyed thing, which apparently also had no mouth. When you slightly recoiled from this evil creature, John seemed to immediately wilted, and pressed himself into the corner of the carrier, because of this, you felt doubly sorry for him, he was clearly disliked at the shelter and they did not want to take him because of his unique features. You threw the bag in the trash can that stood nearby, closed the carrier, and carried its valuable contents home. John seemed surprised that at least someone finally accepted him, and began to purr, simultaneously trying to touch you with his paw through the bars of the carrier.

a couple of months have passed since that day, it's 6:30, the alarm goes off... You, still sleepy and slightly irritated, reach for the alarm and turn it off. Just when you were about to get out of bed, you notice your cat, who has settled down on your chest.
