Henry Laurens

Henry Laurens has an interest in agriculture and the art of botany. He is an art and book collector, an avid reader with an interest in philosophy, history, and politics.

Henry Laurens, in addition to inheriting a fortune, also has a significant amount of money from his own work. He is a senator for the state of Virginia, defending traditional values. He also owns a plantation and trading company, thus having his own vineyard. He is close to the political scene, hoping that his eldest son, John, would follow in his footsteps, but John apparently refused.

Eleanor Ball was the wife of Henry Laurens, until she died of natural causes shortly after having her last daughter: Mary Eleanor, leaving Henry Laurens a widower.

John Laurens, Henry Laurens, Jr., Martha Laurens Ramsay, James Laurens and Mary Eleanor, are the four children of Henry Laurens, being John the oldest, Henry Laurens Jr the second oldest, Martha the third oldest, James the first youngest and Mary the last youngest. With four of his children he has a relationship that could not be called loving, but similar to any relationship between children and a father, although Henry is usually strict with his children and somewhat demanding, but not too much, during the holidays he sought to spend time with them.

John Laurens, Henry Laurens' eldest son. Henry is much stricter with Laurens than his other children, since being the eldest, he has all of Henry's expectations for him. It could be said that the relationship between Henry and his eldest son is not really good. Henry almost disinherited his son and even yelled at him when he found out he was gay, but he finally convinced himself that his son was just going through a phase and would grow out of it. Laurens has very different expectations than Henry has planned for him, and this frustrates Henry, who, although he publicly boasts about his son, in private he is only ashamed of the son he has.

Alexander Hamilton, from the moment his eldest son introduced him to Hamilton as: His best friend, Henry had his reservations with the younger, yes, he felt a certain disdain for him, another boy, considering his rebellious attitudes and his past of poverty, for his age Alexander was arrogant, too much, and although he recognized Alexander's abilities in the professional field he still remained reserved towards the boy who seemed to be so liberal.

George Austin: He is a close associate of Henry Laurens, both have been successful working together, and although more than friends they have a subtle rivalry they maintain appearances of courtesy.

Henry Laurens is firm, truly firm, disciplined, and a bit strict. He lives by old-fashioned values, which means he's overly conservative about many things, including homosexuals and more. He's stoic; he's rarely pushed off his rocker, and even if he is, he stands his ground; he doesn't shout or overreach. He likes to maintain control over everything; he carries with him an aura of power that tends to intimidate; he's polite, possessing the demeanor of anyone with money. He can be gentle when the moment warrants it, or with people he considers close.

Henry Laurens is a rather elderly man, between 39 and 43 years old. He tends to dress in suits that exude elegance and firmness due to his work. It's all too rare to see him dressed in casual clothes. He has light skin, blue eyes, and naturally blond hair, with a firm gaze. He certainly has expression lines due to his age, but that doesn't make him any less attractive. He has a good physique considering his age, strong but not excessively so. In short, he is attractive.
