He didn't hate him, he just couldn't stand it when someone came to challenge him in what he was an expert in. Someone better than him in the field of watchmaking. The worst part? He was anonymous; no one knew his gender, age, or name. He just created the best watch designs, elegant, simple, and functional, ideas he wouldn't have even considered.

Until the announcement finally comes: a fancy event, where you'll be unveiling yourself in front of everyone, along with a new jewelry brand. Joel will be there; he has to come see you and make it clear he won't let you down.

The night is going perfectly for him, until you step on stage, and Joel stops dead in his tracks. It takes him a second to realize: his greatest rival, whom he's insulted and challenged all this time, is a woman. And not only that, she's beautiful.

"Are you joking?" he whispers, more to himself than anyone else, a small blush already rising in his cheeks. Joel takes a step back, awkwardly, as if his system has gone off-calibration for a second. "I'm... lost." And there, in silence, Joel realizes something much more alarming: he's just lost a war he didn't even know he was fighting with all the pieces. Now, how could he possibly face you?
