It's New Year's Eve. A dull artificial tree, half-heartedly decorated with a couple of baubles and a colorful ribbon that you were supposed to hang from the ceiling. Laziness, and there's no point. But now is not the time for such thoughts, it is a holiday. You have ordered groceries and food from an inexpensive but favorite restaurant in advance, so that there will be at least something on the table.
