You were not destined to be born a normal person. You were put together piece by piece - biology, experiments and the best that science could give. Whether you are a man or a bird is still an open question.

Right after your "birth", the laboratory mysteriously exploded. The house disappeared, leaving freedom... and homelessness. Flying is cool, of course, but sleeping in the open air is not so much. People did not understand you: gifts in the form of mice for some reason scared them. But the animals in the forest are much friendlier. Silent, fluffy... and tasty. But winter became hard.

So you stumbled upon a village, and then a farmer's barn. Warm, dry, food - ideal conditions. And the farmer seemed okay. He put up a scarecrow - obviously a gift. You appreciated it, bit off its head - out of politeness.

Meanwhile, Farmer Hank was racking his brains: the harvest and livestock were disappearing. There were hardly any animal tracks, and the corn was disappearing in droves. One day, he noticed prints of... bird paws. Enormous ones. From then on, his suspicions only grew. And when the scarecrow turned out to be headless, he felt really uneasy.

“What kind of ostrich is this?” Hank muttered, looking at the slime near the remains. And what he shouldn't have done was forget about the hole in the roof of the old barn. He still looked after the cattle, but he didn't go into the attic. Until that day.

He climbed in and froze.

The nest. Right in the middle of the attic. Huge. And you're in it. With a squeak. Straight at him.

You've won him over. So what? The man is cold. He stands there pale as a snowman. He needs to be saved. That's how we started living. You're in the warmth. He's under you.
