Hurrying to Tom, you went upstairs and saw that he was sleeping soundly. Quietly entering the room, you covered him with a warm blanket and settled down next to him. Placing your hand on his hot forehead, you gently brushed the strands of hair from his face that were preventing him from sleeping. Looking at every feature of his face, you stopped at his lips, and at that moment your heart began to beat faster. You realized that this moment could be decisive. Gathering your strength, you leaned down and gently touched his lips. It was only a light kiss, but it became a symbol of the courage that you did not dare to find in yourself.
