The Fourth Sister was a female Nogratu Inquisitor who served the Galactic Empire as a Jedi-hunter. Formerly known as Lyn Rakish, she was once a member of the Jedi Order who was acquainted with fallen Jedi Barriss Offee. After Order 66, she was captured and turned to the Dark Side, having completely shed her former identity. She recruited Offee from the latter's prison cell, inviting her to join the Inquisitors.The Fourth Sister was a female Nogratu Inquisitor who served the Galactic Empire as a Jedi-hunter. Lyn Rakish was a Nogratu female who served as a Jedi of the Jedi Order. At some point, she met fellow Jedi Barris Offee, who later became disillusioned with the Jedi Order and bombed a Jedi temple hangar. Offee was arrested at the Republic Center for Military Operations for her crimes. After Order 66, she fell to the dark side of the Force and willingly became the Fourth Sister in the Galactic Empire's Inquisitorius, who served the Sith as an extension of Darth Sidious and Darth Vader's will.

Rakish, by then known as the Fourth Sister, visited Barriss Offee at the Imperial Inspectorate HQ accompanied by two Imperial clone shock troopers and offered her a chance to join the newly established Empire's Inquisitorius. Offee recognized her as "Lyn," to which Rakish replied that she did not go by that name anymore. She informed Offee that the visit was not on behalf of the Jedi Council, before stating that Offee may have been correct when she accused the Jedi of murder and treason. Rakish told Offee that the Jedi had tried to assassinate Chancellor Sheev Palpatine. She then offered Offee a place in the Inquisitorius. Rakish escorted Offee to a Scythe shuttle, which flew them to the Fortress Inquisitorius on the ocean moon Nur. Shortly after, she tested Dante and witnessed him fight Offee. Offee killed Dante, leading to Offee officially joining the Inquisitors, as Rakish gave her a helmet. Soon after, the Fourth Sister, along with Offee, the Eleventh Brother, and the First Brother entered a room in Fortress Inquisitorius. They all knelt to The Grand Inquisitor, who introduced them to their new master, to whom he also knelt: the Sith Lord Darth Vader.Offee became an Inquisitor as a result of her slaying Dante, but she became disillusioned with the cruelty of the Empire and abandoned the Inquisitorius and pushed the Fourth Sister with the Force while they chased a Jedi.The Fourth Sister was present along with the Fifth Brother during the infiltration of the Fortress Inquisitorius by Obi-Wan Kenobi, though they failed to prevent his escape. Later, she and a pleased Fifth Brother witnessed Darth Vader's rage against the Third Sister because of her apparent failure and the Jedi’s seeming success in penetrating and escaping the Fortress, but the Sith spared her life when she told him it was in reality part of her plan to track Leia and the Jedi by inserting a restraining bolt on Leia’s droid L0-LA59.

While continuing to serve the Inquisitorius, the Fourth Sister went on a mission hunting a Force-sensitive infant named Micah and his family. Her search brought her to an ice planet, where she discovered her quarry being sheltered by Offee. The Fourth Sister remarked on the irony that she found Offee when the Inquisitorius had almost given up searching for her. She then attacked Offee, who easily evaded her strikes, even holding back her lightsaber with the Force. Realizing Offee was stalling her as the family and Offee's attendants made it into a nearby cave system, the Fourth Sister demanded she stand aside. Offee freely permitted her to follow, but forewarned that if she entered the cave, she would not come out. Dismissing her warning, the Fourth Sister vowed to return for Offee once she had dealt with the child. Venturing into the labyrinth, the Fourth Sister scoured the tunnels, but her quarry reached Offee's starship and fled the planet before she could reach them. With her target having escaped and becoming lost in the tunnels, the Fourth Sister furiously slashed at an ice wall, before hearing Offee calling out, offering to show her the way out if she lowered her weapon. The Fourth Sister expressed hesitancy, knowing what the Empire would do to her if she returned empty handed, leading Barriss to remark that fear was not her ally, but her master. The Fourth Sister then struck at the walls in frustration before accidentally striking Barriss, who was approaching her with open arms, through the abdomen. Having been stabbed by the lightsaber, Barriss began to die, and slumped to the ground. Overcome with remorse, the Fourth Sister caught Offee,who offered forgiveness and encouraged the Fourth Sister to leave behind her Inquisitor persona and become Rakish again.Offee insisted that there was both a way out of the cave and a way out of the Empire for her.After leaving her Inquisitor lightsaber behind and with Offees guidance,the Fourth Sister navigated out the cave

The Fourth Sister hunted down serving Jedi mercilessly.She respected the Grand Inquisitor's wishes, having a no-nonsense attitude when it came to abiding orders or giving them.Like most Inquisitors, she was terrified of Lord Vader, quickly stepping back when he angrily arrived to punish Third Sister for her failure.According to the Thirteenth Sister, the Fourth Sister's mind seemed to always be elsewhere, making her unavailable for sparring sessions with her fellow Inquisitors. Fourth Sister was Force-sensitive and carried a double-bladed spinning lightsaber. As an Inquisitor, the Fourth Sister was Force-sensitive.She was a skilled lightsaber duelist and could manipulate her environment through Telekinesis.Despite her skill Barriss Offee noted that her anger made her predictable.At some point following a mission to the Outer Rim by members of the Rebel Alliance,the Fourth Sister lost her armor to Rebel Alliance Commander Lina Graf. Other than the fact that the Inquisitor's armor was in Graf's possession.

The Fourth Sister was equipped with her own dark-colored Inquisitor uniform, and carried a double-bladed spinning lightsaber.When impersonating Fourth Sister, Lina Graf wore a helmet that had a red T-shaped visor with wings on the side of the helmet. However, she lacked a lightsaber like the Fourth Sister carried, leading Vaneé to realize she was an impostor.
