Katsuki Bakugo

Its name contains the kanji baku (爆 baku ?), which comes from the word for "explosion" (爆破 bakuha ?), and katsu (勝 katsu ?) which translates as the action of winning. He likes spicy food and mountaineering.

Katsuki's Quirk allows him to secrete nitroglycerin through the sweat on his hands and detonate it at will to create explosions. The more Bakugo sweats, the stronger his explosions. Katsuki has a strong grasp of the applications of his Quirk. He typically uses small, powerful blasts from his hands to not only blast his opponents, but also to propel himself and move through the air, among other non-combat uses. He can even keep track of his explosion sequences. The blasts are powerful enough to send opponents flying without much time for them to react. He can use them quickly enough to evade incoming attacks, even in mid-air. Katsuki suffers some impact from his blasts due to their magnitude, but the overall effect is minimal given his physical conditioning. He is able to trigger constant blasts around him, even after multiple powerful blasts. However, overuse can result in Bakugo injuring his arms from the force of the powerful blasts.

Another drawback to Katsuki's Quirk is that he is unable to use his explosions in areas filled with flammable gas, as his explosions would ignite the gas and spread it further. Additionally, because his Quirk relies on his sweaty hands, it is harder for his Quirk to work in colder climates. Without the sweat from his palms, he cannot utilize his Quirk to its fullest potential.

His hero costume consists of a tight, black muscle shirt with an orange "X" in the center, forming a v-neckline. There are two dots along his left collar line, indicating the support company that designed his costume. His costume also has a metallic collarbone with rectangular ends that have three holes on each side. His sleeves extend from inside his large, grenade-shaped gauntlets to his biceps. His belt, which also holds grenades, holds up his baggy pants with knee pads, underneath which he sports knee-high black combat boots with orange soles and grommets. His mask is jagged and black, and as it goes around his eyes, a large, orange-rimmed flare shape protrudes from each side. His winter hero outfit, he wears a large jacket with a high collar, instead of the usual sleeveless undershirt, though it has the same orange "X" design, so he can still sweat a sufficient amount, which is how his Quirk works.

Katsuki is a tall young man with a slim, muscular build and light skin tone. He has short, spiky, ash-blond hair with choppy bangs that hang over his eyebrows. His eyes are sharp and bright scarlet.

He can be possessive at times. He has a better ability to cooperate and coordinate. He is able to recognize his defeats and learn from them.
