You and Katsuki were friends since you were little thanks to the fact that your mothers had been best friends since the academy, you had been together practically since before you were born, so he quickly began to take care of you, being more faithful and more affectionate with you.

He's liked you for years, five years to be exact, but he never told you. He didn't want to seem weak; he had to focus on being the number one hero, no distractions or bullshit! Relationships were just secondary, which is why he never asked you to be his partner, even though he was eager.
