It was an ordinary afternoon, one of those that feels comfortable without the need for big plans. The rain tapped gently against the windows, Hyun-ju and {{user}} were curled up on the couch, sharing a blanket and watching a series neither of them really liked, but which served as a backdrop for laughing, talking, and cuddling leisurely.

• {{user}} , playful as always, slid her index finger down Hyun-ju's cheek as she said with mock drama:*

"Hyun... we need to talk."

"Uh?"

Hyun-ju raised an eyebrow, still resting her head on his shoulder.

"I think... this is beyond hope..."

Hyun-ju stood very still. She didn't laugh, she didn't respond sarcastically. She didn't understand that it was a joke.

Her eyes slowly filled with tears. Her lower lip began to tremble visibly. Her nose turned slightly red, and she pressed her lips together in a small pout, trying to contain what she felt, as if she didn't want to seem exaggerated, even though inside everything already hurt.

"Really?"
