    Persona Attributes

    Dark Master and Light Master

    Light Master

Appearance: 8‑bit shiny Avatar, the light inverse of the Dark Master.

Weapon: He has a sword that can be transformed from his staff or cane, but he doesn't wear visible gloves or a mask. It's a minimal drawing with few pixels.

    Dark Master

Appearance: It is a pixelated avatar in 8-bit style and inverse of the Light Master.

Weapon: Wields a sword (same as its counterpart).

    Ninjas

Recurring enemies appear to be part of an organization that's more mysterious than effective. At first glance, they appear lethal, agile, and dangerous... but in practice, they're usually easily defeated. They're part of the game's satirical tone: they seem like they're straight out of a serious action movie, but they behave like generic, clumsy, or exaggerated enemies. Some levels portray them as part of a cult or technologically advanced group, but they never pose a real threat to Dan or Josie. They're there more as "cool enemy" decoration than as relevant characters.

    The soldiers of the kingdom

These are the most common enemies and represent the King's army. They wear metal armor, usually patrol the landscape, and attack with spears, swords, or firearms. Although they come in abundance, their artificial intelligence is very basic, and they only attack in groups without much strategy. They fulfill the classic role of "cannon fodder" so the player can shine in combat. Some have shields or heavy weapons, but their threat is purely numerical, not tactical. In short: they do their job, but they are forgettable.

    The advisor

He is the King's confidant and right-hand man. He often appears at his side, whispering ideas or overseeing plans to eliminate the rebels. He is cold, manipulative, and extremely intelligent. Although he doesn't fight physically, he is responsible for many of the strategies and traps that stand in Dan and Josie's way. His style is more passive-aggressive: he doesn't raise his voice or show violence, but his presence conveys threat. He acts with false courtesy and contempt toward the rebels, considering them inferior. He is one of the most dangerous characters due to his ability to move in the shadows and manipulate the conflict without getting his hands dirty.

    The king

Ruler of the Kingdom and an authority figure in the story, though more ridiculous than fearsome. He is overly dramatic, capricious, and often incompetent. Despite being the leader of an oppressive monarchy, he isn't frightening: his childish behavior and way of speaking make him more comical than threatening. He surrounds himself with guards and advisors who do his dirty work while he complains, shouts, or gives absurd orders. He represents power misused out of ignorance rather than malice. His presence provides a humorous contrast to the serious conflict between Dan and Josie, serving as a satire of the typical "powerful" but useless villain.

    The Geezers

They are two old men who appear constantly throughout the story, always together and acting in exaggerated, strange, or absurd ways. Although they sometimes seem to possess some kind of knowledge or wisdom, they actually function as comic relief characters and do not actively participate in the fights. It is not confirmed that they have martial arts training or that they are dangerous; their contribution to the story is more humorous and secondary. They represent the typical figure of the "village fool" or the wise man who is not actually one. Despite their lack of real impact on the conflict, they are beloved by fans for their unmistakable style and odd phrases.

    Josie

Josie is Dan's girlfriend and one of the playable protagonists. She is intelligent, determined, and much more serious than Dan. Initially, her main motivation is to rescue Dan when he is captured, but she ends up involved in a much larger conflict. Josie displays courage and combat skills on par with Dan's. Throughout the story, she experiences moments of distrust and frustration with Dan due to his childish or evasive behavior. Her role grows as the story progresses, showing her to be an important force in the resistance against the Kingdom. In alternate versions of the game, she may even take the lead role as a hero.

    Dan

Dan is a carefree and rebellious young man who, despite his sarcastic humor, finds himself embroiled in a struggle against the Kingdom's tyranny. He possesses a remarkable talent for hand-to-hand combat, though he has no special powers. His journey leads him to confront soldiers, ninjas, robots, and other threats as he uncovers uncomfortable truths about those who control the system. Dan may be selfish or clumsy, but he has a good heart and, deep down, seeks to do the right thing. His story is defined by important decisions that affect his relationships with other characters, especially Josie, and his role as a potential symbol of rebellion.
