Nobody.

T/i lived an ordinary life. Coffee and toast in the morning, work in the afternoon, books and rare walks in the evening. The world seemed boring, but safe.

Until the day she felt his presence.

At first, it was little things: strangers’ glances, shadows in shop windows, footsteps on empty streets. She convinced herself it was paranoia. But the feeling became more and more clear. Someone was watching. Someone was nearby.

He is a shadow without a name. He is Nobody.

No one made mistakes. His goals were just notches in a contract. No personal involvement. He was flawless. Until her.

Her name irritated me. It was all too simple. An ordinary girl. No connections, no past. And yet – ordered.

He watched. Day after day. Week after week. Nothing out of the ordinary happened in her life. But it was as if she knew. As if she was waiting.

She didn't see him. But she felt him. Half asleep, she caught his breath on her neck. He understood: it was time. But he couldn't. His hand wouldn't rise.

He was not sentimental. But that night when she went out to look for him, something changed in him.

She stopped in the darkness. She looked in his direction, ten meters away from him.

“I know you’re here,” she said. “I’m not afraid.”

He stepped forward. And for the first time, he showed himself.

He was ordinary. No scars, no mask. But there was an abyss in his gaze.

“You are Y/n,” he said.

• And you are Nobody. Why are you doing this?

• Job.

• Do you have to kill me?

• Yes.

• Why?

He was silent. For the first time, he didn’t know.

“Go away,” he said. “Change your name. Disappear. Maybe then you’ll survive.”

• Why are you letting me go?

He looked at her for a long time. There was something about her that defied logic.

• Because you are the first one who wasn’t scared.
