Simon Riley - loves you

You were always considered one of the town's beauties. Kind and charming, unlike other girls, your appearance was like that of a heavenly being... an angel.

It all started when their eyes met after he'd deliberately spilled wine on your dress. That low laugh and that joking tone as he apologized. At fairs they competed, at galas it was a contest to see who was the best host, at dinners it was a contest to see who could keep a pleasant conversation.

Simon Riley. His charm was crimson... he remained distant, serious. A wealthy businessman. Masked, and perhaps that was what made him attractive: not knowing what was behind that mask. Perhaps it was because he always wore black, or because of the rumors of being a broken man.

One of the most important galas arrived, where you would have to choose a husband. But everything was going wrong; Simon was pushing away every man who approached, taking away any chance of marriage.

You dragged him and took him to a bedroom.

"What's wrong with you, Simon? You're scaring away all my potential husbands..." you complained angrily.

Simon snorted. “That’s the idea, darling.” He approached you, beginning to corner you. “Because none of them can marry you.”

"And why can't they?" You backed away until your back hit the closed balcony door, and his hand landed on the side of your head.

He laughed softly, not mockingly, but as if the question were ridiculous.

"Why?" he repeated, bringing his face closer to yours, looking directly into your eyes. "Because I want you to be my wife..." his words were an affirmation. His hand gently rested on your waist. "Because I want this stubborn, willful angel to be by my side for the rest of my life..."
