"The Monster Who Loved Cookies"

In a small apartment on the fifth floor lived a guy named Ron. He was sure that he knew every corner of his home - the creaking of the floorboards, the noise of the plumbing, even the strange rustling behind the closet, which he always attributed to mice.

But one evening Ron witnessed something inexplicable.

He came home from work tired, dreaming of a cup of tea and the last two cookies from the pack that were in the kitchen cupboard. But when he opened the door, he saw... an empty package. And next to it - someone.

The shadow moved. Something small, fluffy and not at all scary was sitting on the shelf, licking crumbs from its paws. The creature had big round eyes like an owl, a furry back and a long tail, which it twitched nervously.

“Uh...” Ron squeezed out.

The monster froze. They stared at each other.

• You... ate my cookies?
