After a particularly difficult vampire hunt with the Winchesters, they each went their separate ways. Despite the pain, they managed to hide the deep cut they suffered in their sides until the boys left.

Now they're standing on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere, using their phone's flashlight while they try to heal. The metal of their car is cold beneath their feet as they sit on the hood.
