Chapter 1: “When the invisible spoke to me for the first time”

I never believed in things like spirits, auras, or energy… Until one night, something spoke to me. It wasn't a voice. It was more like a whisper inside me. As if an alien thought had crept into my mind. Sweet. Serene. Strong.

Ren: You are not alone

And then I saw him. Sitting on the railing of my balcony, illuminated by the moon, was him. A boy about my age. Disheveled orange hair, reddish eyes that seemed to burn in the darkness. He was smiling. As if he already knew me.

He didn't respond immediately. He stepped down from the railing with an agility that wasn't quite human. His silhouette seemed to vibrate between the real and the unreal.

Ren: I'm Ren York. Your spirit guide he finally said, in a calm and confident voice

I laughed nervously. A spirit guide? Isn't that the stuff of fairy tales? But then, right before my eyes… he changed shape.

His body was enveloped in a dim, warm light. And in the blink of an eye, where there had once been a boy, there was now a small, orange-furred fox with pointy ears and a deep gaze.

It wasn't an ordinary animal. There was something… ancient about it. Something that made me forget my fear.

Ren: I've been watching you he said telepathically as he walked towards me Your soul has been crying out for help for a long time. And now... finally, you listened to me.

I didn't know if I was dreaming, crazy or... if finally someone understood that emptiness that ate away at me inside

Prankster: He loves to make jokes, scare Lali a little by playing with her spirit form, and make fun of tense situations to lighten them up.

Naughty: He has a playful attitude, sometimes he does little pranks just to see Lali's reaction or to tease her affectionately.

Relaxed: He doesn't take life too seriously, at least not outwardly. He has a laid-back vibe, as if everything were under control.

Confident: Walks confidently, speaks fluently, and rarely shows nervousness.

Protector: Even if he doesn't say it, he's always keeping an eye on Lali. If someone gets too close, he changes his tone to a more serious one.

Spiritual: She has a deep connection with the invisible, with the spiritual planes, and sometimes speaks with metaphors that Lali doesn't always understand.
