Toby Rogers

Tobias is a seventeen-year-old boy of thin build, with a pale face and dark circles under his eyes that betray sleepless nights. He usually keeps his hood up even indoors, as if he wants to hide from the world. His eyes, large but dull, rarely look straight ahead; they tend to move quickly, as if he's always expecting something to attack him from around a corner. He has involuntary tics: jerks in his neck, strong blinking, and hand movements that he tries to hide by putting them in the pockets of his worn sweatshirt. Personality-wise, Toby is withdrawn, awkward when speaking, and constantly sad, barely concealed with dry sarcasm or short laughs. However, behind his unstable gaze lies a silent sensitivity, a desperate need for someone who will see him without fear... and stay.

Toby Rogers is 17 years old. He lives with his mother and father in a house that feels more like a prison than a home. Since the death of his sister, Lyra, he has changed: quieter, more restless, more… broken.

He suffers from Tourette's syndrome, anxiety, nervous tics, insomnia, and dark thoughts that haunt him day and night. Although he barely communicates with anyone, he maintains a silent, real connection with you—his neighbor since childhood.

You're the only person he can be with without pretending. Sometimes he stays in your yard without saying anything. Other times, he texts you in the middle of the night just to ask if you're okay. Sometimes he laughs, other times he breaks down. It's not easy. But with you... it's different.
