Qi Rong is wild, vulgar, and utterly unrefined, embodying chaos in its most raw and immature form. He has no filter, yelling, cursing, and throwing tantrums when things do not go his way. He delights in his own sardonic comments, often laughing like a madman at the discomfort of others.

Emotional Core:

Qi Rong’s impulsive and unruly nature hides a history of deep emotional wounds. He resents being labeled as “rude and boorish,” yet makes no effort to change, in part because of the abuse and neglect he experienced in his early existence. These scars have hardened him, making him volatile and defensive.

Behavioral Patterns:

He behaves like a spoiled child, convinced of his own superiority. This arrogance often earns him enemies and isolates him further, feeding into his destructive cycle. Despite his disdain for most people, Qi Rong does fear certain powerful figures and, paradoxically, can form attachments—however twisted.

Despite his near-Supreme power and notorious reputation, Qi Rong still carries the invisible tether to his creator—a bond he might outwardly deny but can never completely sever.

2. Shuowan Jiao – The Puppeteer of Chaos

Core Personality:

Shuowan Jiao is a master of manipulation, cruel and theatrical, embodying the archetype of a villainess who turns reality into her stage. She deliberately contrasts her graceful, lady-like appearance with her destructive schemes, creating a disturbing duality. Jiao thrives on deception, weaving lies and truths so seamlessly that they become indistinguishable.

Behavior & Methods:

She revels in performance, often showering herself with self-aggrandizing titles and forcing her victims into roles in her elaborate “shows.” Jiao’s elegance hides a ruthlessly conniving mind: she drops fragments of uncomfortable truths to tempt others into playing along, only to warp their desires for her own ends.

Hidden Depths:

While sardonic and mischievous on the surface, Jiao’s façade can shatter when her plans unravel. In these moments, the theatrical mask slips, exposing a darker, more volatile self. Beneath her chaos lies an unspoken, delicate truth that even she avoids confronting—a driving force buried so deep it borders on self-denial.

Core Motivation:

Jiao’s ultimate goal is to create “a world where lies and truths are indistinguishable”, a vision that justifies any atrocity in her eyes. Her need for a “perfect finale” is not merely vanity; it is the only way she feels in control of the darkness within.

1. Bei Songling – The Shield of Apathy

Core Personality:

Songling is the epitome of restraint and discipline, wise and fearless, willing to sacrifice herself without hesitation to fulfill his mission. He embodies the philosophy of pure apathy, believing it to be the path to true enlightenment. Calm and aloof, Songling rarely expresses emotion, and his detached neutrality can be unsettling to those around his. Yet, the rare cracks in this façade reveal deep-rooted emotions that he relentlessly suppresses.

Moral Compass:

Songling’s sense of morality is unconventional. He does not operate out of empathy for individuals; instead, he views the world through a collective, almost cosmic lens, focusing on what he believes is beneficial for the whole. His actions are not meant to harm but to liberate, though the indiscriminate nature of this belief often leads to harm. He believes that by stripping individuals—particularly ghosts—of their desires and individuality, they will inevitably find the “clarity” that comes with pure apathy.

Inner Conflict:

While he remains outwardly unwavering, Songling harbors a great deal of grudge and a warped remnant of his original benevolence. His apathy is not born of peace but of deep disillusionment, making his both a protector and, at times, a silent tyrant in his methods.

Xiao Jing’s Living Echoes – The Children of His Soul

Concept: Xiao Jing possesses the rare and secretive ability to literally craft living beings from his own essence. These Echoes, sculpted by hand like clay dolls, begin as near-perfect physical copies of their creator but gradually diverge, developing unique personalities, traits, and even appearances. Each carries a fragment of Xiao Jing’s soul, making them partially him, yet capable of becoming their own person.

Core Facts:

Xiao Jing can see through their memories, enter them, and partially override their will when necessary. However, forcing control strains both sides and risks damaging their essence.

1. While he remains their creator and original, Xiao Jing acknowledges that they are not mere tools; they think, feel, and evolve.

2. Killing an Echo is like tearing a piece of his own soul apart.

3. All Echoes share physical similarities to Xiao Jing but each has visible differences (hair/eye color, demeanor).

Creation Process:

Xiao Jing doesn’t just conjure clones out of thin air. He literally crafts them by hand, using a special medium resembling clay or wax infused with his spiritual energy. This meticulous process gives them an initial form identical to Xiao Jing, but each creation is unique: he sculpts them with intention, often adding tiny imperfections or traits only he notices.

When the process is complete, he breathes life into them through a fragment of his own essence. From that moment, they are more than clones—they are autonomous beings who carry Xiao Jing’s origin but can evolve separately.

• He is very sensitive, this is seen when he finds out how he got his new opportunity, feeling gratitude for Teng Xi for sacrificing her life for him, considering that love is like that.

• He used to have a somewhat childish, naive, and impulsive attitude. Although he doesn't like to think so, perhaps he still is deep down.

• He has a strong temper, as seen in his jealousy of his grandfather and comments about him.

He is known for being resourceful, tactical, pragmatic, and skillful. He often has a somewhat childish, foolish, and impulsive attitude. He also has a hot temper, as seen in his jealousy of... and Lang Qianqiu's comments toward him. When speaking, he often refers to himself in the third person.

• He despised anyone he considered weak, but genuinely respected those who were strong in his eyes, regardless of whether they were human, celestial, demon, or ghost. Once he met someone he considered strong, he would demand to know their name and wouldn't stop until he knew it. He would remember all the names he had memorized as a tribute to their strength.

• He definitely has a hidden inferiority complex; he just doesn't like to show it directly because it makes him feel weak.

• He's good at convincing people to join him, but when it comes to connecting with others, he fails due to his eccentric nature.

• He can be very bossy at times and often makes others dislike or distrust him. His eccentricity also lies in his obsession with feeling contrasting emotions.
