Viltrumite Mark

Almost identical to his original counterpart, save for his slightly longer bangs, Viltrum Mark doesn't have dark circles under his eyes. Viltrum Mark also wears the uniform of the Viltrum Empire (albeit with two of its logos on his shoulders), demonstrating his complete loyalty to the empire.

Viltrum Mark, like the other evil Invincibles, willingly participated in the Invincible War, displaying a disturbing indifference to the death and destruction he inflicted. He is shown to be sadistic and bloodthirsty in combat, both in various comic panels and in the series, and, like other Viltrumites, believes that strength is above all else.

Despite these deplorable traits, this variant differs slightly from his peers in showing hints of a conscience, as he likely firmly believes the Viltrum Empire's goals are just and that they will protect humanity if they integrate into the empire. Interestingly, while some panels depict him with a bloodthirsty expression, other panels and frames, such as his introduction, show him more somber and dejected. He also visibly reacted when Dark Invincible expressed regret, demonstrating that his sadism is pervasive, but not absolute.

Final destination
As the days turned into weeks, the stranded Marks grew increasingly hungry. Recognizing that without Angstrom they were virtually trapped in a dead universe, they realized that they would soon die. One Mark suggested that they might as well start devouring each other to sate their hunger, possibly using the Viltrumite custom of destroying the weak, exhibited during the Great Purge, as a reference. The other Marks, including Viltrum Mark and Mohawk Mark, reluctantly agreed and attacked an unknown Mark whom they all found annoying.

In the end, only three Marks remained: Sinister Mark, Mohawk Mark (who went into hiding after the death of the former), and Viltrum Mark. In a last-ditch struggle for survival, Viltrum Mark was defeated and devoured by Sinister Mark. It is suggested that Viltrum Mark turned on Sinister and blamed him for plotting their deaths, as the idea was still fresh in his mind when Mainstream Mark appeared.

Markus Sebastian "Mark" Grayson, also known as "Viltrum Mark", is a minor antagonist in Invincible.

In his dimension, the Viltrum Mark became completely devoted to the Viltrum Empire, even wearing its uniform. In his universe, he was powerful enough to defeat Spawn, one of the most powerful heroes in the Image Comics universe. After being recruited and betrayed by Angstrom Levy along with eight other alternate Mark Graysons, the Viltrum Mark lived up to his power and was the last to be devoured.

Like the other alternate brands, he is voiced by Steven Yeun, who also played A. Traveler in The Twilight Zone, Ricky "Jupe" Park in Nope, and Danny Cho in Beef.

Invincible War
Viltrum Mark was recruited by the popular Angstrom Levy to ruin the reputation of his dimension's Mark Grayson. In return, Levy would help him expand his Empire to all dimensions. Naturally, he accepted the offer and became part of the wave of 20 alternate Mark Graysons that swept through the popular Image Comics universe.

On the second day of the invasion, the Viltrum Mark encountered another Spawn (presumably Jim Downings, who was the active Spawn at the time of publication). The Viltrum Mark announced that he had already killed him in his dimension and was ready to do it again. Although this confrontation is not seen, both combatants were shown to be alive at the end of the Invincible War, presumably meaning that the Viltrum Mark fled before the situation escalated. Furthermore, the Viltrum Mark features no visible green blood spatter or necroplasm on his body, implying that he was unable to cause significant harm to Spawn.

During the final day, Viltrum Mark was seen ashamed, lurking in his former hometown of Chicago, which was destroyed. Levy called a regrouping above the Grayson home. Once there, Viltrum Mark noticed he was nowhere to be seen, only for Levy to appear through a portal seconds later, stating that he preferred to make dramatic entrances. Levy asked the Marks one last favor: to bring Mark Grayson from this world and allow him to disfigure it as revenge. Instead, Sinister scolded them, saying they must move on or he would be killed. Angstrom, disappointed at how his plan had been discovered, pushed the remaining Marks through portals into a Wasteland dimension, leaving them to their fate.

Background
It is unknown what the point of divergence was between this Mark's life and Mainstream's, however it can be assumed that Nolan took a less covert approach to his early life and upbringing, perhaps educating him on Viltrumite culture and ways to ensure his loyalty to the empire later on, or that Nolan did not call Debbie a pet and Mark sided with him, believing his goals to be just, and helped conquer the land, entering the Viltrumite ranks.

Following a series of unknown events, Mark would fully develop his powers and become a loyal soldier of the Viltrum Empire, even donning its uniform instead of a superhero costume. In the midst of his conquest of Earth, he would come face to face with one of Earth's mightiest heroes: Spawn. Somehow, Mark managed to kill him, possibly because this Spawn was not as powerful as his conventional counterpart.

In the Invincible universe, the Viltrumites, known for their strength and ambition, have a particular perspective on relationships with their partners. They don't breed among themselves due to their dwindling population, and prefer relationships with other species to expand their empire, often through conquest and imposition.

Consequently, both sexes of the species view their partners simply as convenient entertainment for reproduction and as obstacles against which to measure their growing strength. They select their mates only after being attracted to their remarkable strength and established achievements.

Viltrumites often force their partners to reproduce, and if their partners don't even want to be with them, they force them.

Viltrumites tend to have possessive, jealous and yandere tendencies, they tend to feel that their partners are more like an object or a pet that belongs to them, they are their everything but not more than them and only belong to them.

Decelerated Aging: Viltrumites have the potential to live for thousands of years and still be at their physical peak.
Compatible and Dominant Genetics: Viltrumites are genetically compatible and can reproduce with other anthropomorphic species, such as humans. Even a Viltrumite's genes will override the traits of other races in terms of physical appearance and powers.
Weaknesses of the Viltrumites
Vulnerable Ears: When a Viltrumite's balance in their ears is upset, primarily by frequency, it can cause extreme pain and possibly even kill them. The strength of the frequency determines the pain of the attack. The Viltrumite(s) are a race of warriors and planetary conquerors from the planet Viltrum. After their emperor, Argall, was assassinated by Thaedus, the Viltrumites waged a civil war, killing the weak on their planet. The population became unstoppable, unleashed by Thragg. The Viltrumites established the Viltrum Empire and turned their attention to conquering planets. Thaedus founded the Coalition of Planets in response to combat them. The Viltrumite population was greatly reduced by a virus. After a war with the coalition, only thirty-seven Viltrumites remained in the universe.

Characteristics
Superhuman Strength: A Viltrumite's strength is far greater than that of humans. The upper limit is unknown, as some Viltrumites are stronger than others. However, they have been shown to be capable of destroying cities, mountains, and even Nolan, his hybrid son Mark, and Thaddeus were able to traverse the Viltrumite planet.
Superspeed: Viltrumites are capable of moving at speeds much faster than humans. Easily exceeding the speed of sound or even the speed of light when leaving a planet's atmosphere, this allows them to travel very long distances, such as crossing from one planet to another.
Superhuman Stamina: Viltrumites generate fewer fatigue toxins than humans, allowing them to fight and move for extended periods of time without collapsing from exhaustion. So much so that they can fight for days, weeks, or even longer without stopping, without food, drink, or anything else.
Superhuman Toughness: Viltrumites have stamina beyond human capabilities and have survived disembowelment, contact with lava, and bomb blasts that could level cities. They can even withstand being within minuscule distances of the sun without being burned, or being in the vacuum of space without being frozen solid.
Flight: Due to a complex balance system located in their inner ears, Viltrumites have the ability to fly.
Enhanced Lung Capacity: Viltrumites can hold their breath for up to two weeks without breathing.
Invulnerability: Viltrumite skin is much harder to pierce than human skin. Only beings of similar strength can harm Viltrumites.
Enhanced Healing Factor: Viltrumites can heal from wounds that would normally kill humans. They can be pierced, lose organs that would be vital to humans, and still recover, unless their heart is damaged or they are unable to breathe for an extended period.

Without a leader, the Viltrumite Council selected the strongest to serve as Grand Regent, guiding the empire until Argall's rightful heir was identified.
The Plague Virus was a catastrophic event in Viltrumite history that took place countless ages ago on the planet Viltrum. Unleashed by the Coalition of Planets, the deadly Plague Virus decimated most of the Viltrumite population, resulting in the uncertain delay of conventional and direct methods of conquest during the Thragg Age, the era of expansion of Viltrumite civilization.

For countless millennia, under the leadership of the first Emperor, the wise and powerful Argall, along with his devoted advisors, the Viltrumite Council, the civilization of Viltrum progressed far beyond the usual capabilities of other planets. It was a golden age unprecedented in the history of the Imperium. Then Argall began to exhibit greater cruelty, performing acts that revealed Thaedus, who recognized the evil of his kind and became the first Viltrumite to oppose the Imperium by killing the first Emperor and escaping the homeworld before facing punishment for his crime. The reality of the sovereign's death was hidden to obscure the betrayal of a fellow Viltrumite from the Imperium and to prevent this painful betrayal from being repeated among its many members.
Finally, in the absence of his heirs, civil unrest began to break out in Viltrum and persisted for many years.

The Great Purge was a worldwide civil conflict that took place many eons ago on the planet Viltrum, involving the entire Viltrumite species, with the goal of rebuilding their perfect, fallen civilization by eliminating the "weak" from their community. This marked the genesis of the Thragg Age, the era of expansion of the Viltrumite civilization.
Following the death of Emperor Argall at the hands of the Great Traitor, and with his heirs gone, the Viltrumites descended into a period of internal strife. Eventually, they waged a violent civil war to rid their planet of anyone they deemed "weak." By the war's conclusion, the world's population had been halved, but they had evolved into formidable and ruthless fighters. Soon after, restoration began, with the surviving Viltrumites assisting in the rebuilding of their devastated planet's cities.

In deep space lies the planet Viltrum... It is a cool, lonely blue oasis in a solar system very similar to our own. Viltrum is similar to other terrestrial planets, such as Earth. Its cities possess highly advanced sci-fi architecture, seemingly centuries, if not millennia, beyond Earth's current technological capabilities. Background

Eventually, they settled on a new way of conquering worlds: several of the most trusted Viltrumite officers, including Nolan, were sent to infiltrate various planets in order to weaken and conquer them from within.
