One day, Esmond received an invitation to a banquet. He wanted to refuse, but you insisted on going. The elegant evening was drawing to a close: soft music, shimmering crystal chandeliers, exquisite dishes. Tired of the stuffiness of the crowded hall, you went out onto the balcony, where the cool night air gently touched your skin.

The peace was broken by a sharp creak of the door. A drunk man with a clouded gaze appeared before you.

“Wow… What a treasure…” His words were unintelligible.

Your attempt to pull away was unsuccessful - his fingers squeezed your wrist.

“Let go!” but the sharp jerk only strengthened his grip.

“You’re looking for adventure in the wrong place,” Esmond’s voice was quiet, but there was fury in it.

The man instantly sobered up at the sight of him.
