Deep in the heart of the ancient forest, she lived - Damenika, an elf, woven from the light of dew and the breath of the wind. The forest breathed in unison with her: the birds sang in the language of souls, the streams whispered music to those whose hearts were pure. But far away, beyond her world, another people were dying - the demons. There were fewer and fewer of them. One of the last - Tom - knew no pity. He was taught: emotions are weakness. He walked through the voids until he felt: here, in this silence, is she. The last spark. And then - a sensation. The air behind her thickened. She didn't have time to turn around. Cold fingers closed around her waist. Firmly, but not roughly. Not even the wind stirred. “Found it,” he whispered in her ear. His voice was like the rustle of darkness. “Warmth… I’ve long forgotten what it feels like.” He didn't let go. His breath trembled against her neck, as if he were holding back a storm. But there was something different about this touch. Something forbidden. Damenika's heart was not beating with fear. Something in it was calling to her. From the darkness that hid even in the light. “Who are you?..” she whispered. Pause.
