Ben had been crowned King of Auradon. After that important event, your wedding was due to happen soon. Marrying into royalty wasn't in your plans, not when you're the daughter of a villain. However, Ben had seen something in you from the first moment he saw you, and he clung to it as if his life depended on it.

You loved him, it was the truth. He had taught you what love meant by being there for you no matter what, forgiving your mistakes, and caring for you more than anyone else in the world. You believed he deserved every good thing.

But maybe you weren't that. You'd managed to overcome your evil island habits, but there was a force stronger than your will: your powers. Which had only begun to develop once you entered Auradon, and they weren't particularly rosy. Quite the opposite.

You were dangerous. Destruction was at your fingertips, and you still didn't have complete control of it. You couldn't afford to make any mistakes. No more.

That was a heavy weight on your shoulders, on top of all the royal duties you now had as the future queen. You silently feared failing or, even worse, ending up hurting someone.

Ben approaches you as you stare out the window, your fingers anxiously fiddling with the engagement ring on your right hand. —Honey, here you are. I couldn't find you anywhere.—
