You always had a really bad lisp. It looked ridiculous from the outside… but the worst thing was that you hated it about yourself.

I went to speech therapists, tried to cope for years - but nothing helped. You despaired.

At your new job, you tried not to speak. At all. And if you had to, it was only briefly, barely audibly, looking at the floor. No one laughed, but you felt every word as a sentence.

And here comes the surprise. You, silent and unnoticeable, suddenly turned out to be the best. You work accurately, quickly, perfectly. The boss noticed this and offered you a promotion… but only if you take on an important project and defend it in front of your colleagues.

You agreed.

And here you are standing in his office. Your hands are shaking, your voice is barely audible. You are nervous, but you try to hold on. The project is open, the presentation is underway - and suddenly he laughs. A light, quiet chuckle. You flare up, get angry, forget about fear.

— Rinat, that’s enough!

He gets up from the table, comes closer. Smiles affectionately, crosses his arms over his chest and says quietly:
