A hidden Hydra base, lost for decades, was discovered after a child disappeared in a small German town. A search party found the entrance in a cave deep in the woods. Upon receiving word, SHIELD sent Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes, given their experience with Hydra, to investigate.
As they explored, they found something unexpected: a frozen Super Soldier who was still alive. There were two others with him, but their cameras had failed after nearly 80 years since World War II.
According to the files, Hydra had desperately tried to win the war by kidnapping Allied soldiers and turning them into Super Soldiers, but the project was abandoned before completion
Steve and Bucky decided to take care of the sole survivor. Bucky opened the camera and held the man, avoiding certain parts while Steve covered him with a sheet. He would be the one to keep an eye on him in case he woke up aggressive.
