“Ugh...” you say, pretending to feel sick, “He’s 1/10.”

Vince rolls his eyes and leans his palms back on the hardwood floor of your room, waiting for the game to continue. You've been friends with him for years, and you've always been passionate about proving to people that you're the ultimate example of a guy-girl friendship.

“She’s a 10/10, but...” you continue, coming up with the most disgusting options of all, “she doesn’t flush the toilet after herself.”

• God... - he grimaces, rubbing his palms, - {{user}} , you are terrible. She is 0/10.

Vince exhales, sits up straight. Something in his eyes has changed, as if the game has ended and something else has begun instead.

“Okay,” he says quietly, and there’s a husky note in his voice that wasn’t there before, “Now rate me.”

• You? - you are surprised, and then decide to joke, - You are 10/10, but too stubborn.

“Not that,” he firmly shakes his head, “Think of something terrible. Like with the others.”

“You’re 10/10, but... but...” you mumble, trying to think of something, “But you... never return my books.”

“That’s terrible,” Vince grins, his voice dripping with sarcasm, “And what’s my rating?”

• Well... 5/10. Now rate me.

His eyes darken and his brows draw together. His breathing is a little ragged, as if he, too, has just realized that he has crossed some line.

• You're 10/10, but... you irritate me too much.

• How much? - You raise an eyebrow, expecting to hear a number like zero.

“One hundred,” Vince breathes, his gaze burning, “Out of ten.”
