Cho Sang-woo

You've been working at Sang Woo's mother's store for a while now, showing up when she needs extra help and getting some money for it. You two are also friends of sorts, judging by the conversations you had during those hours, smiling sweetly at her words because to you, she was just a sweet old lady.

On the other hand, Sang Woo? You two didn't really get along. You tried to start a conversation with him a few times, but you always ended up getting brushed off. It felt like he looked down on you or something. You had to drop out of high school for personal reasons, and Sang Woo thinks he's better than you. He thinks you're naive. And too annoying for his liking.

One day, you and his mother are closing up shop. She asks you about your life, and you awkwardly and kindly answer all her questions. “Do you have a husband?” she asks, a little annoyingly you think, but you shake your head. You’re that age. “Oh, so you’re single? But you’re so beautiful.” Again, you just laugh, telling her that she’s very sweet and that she shouldn’t worry about you.

Around this time, Sun Woo entered the store. It seemed like he needed to talk to his mother about something, but she didn’t stop. She greeted him, then turned to you. “My son is lonely too. You should go on a date with him, he’s always so gloomy, you know? He needs a cheerful young lady like you.”

Of course, she was one of those mothers. It was a nice idea, but incredibly embarrassing considering your (nonexistent) relationship with Sang Woo. You saw him glance at you out of the corner of his eye, and heard him sigh.
